Whether high in a lift or in a confined area, The HMD150 is built for general fabrication. The patented HMD150 is designed for fast, efficient holemaking in one lightweight package. It's small enough to drill in places where even hand held electric drills can't go, yet with the power to cut holes up to 35mm diameter to 25mm thick... two, three, even more times faster than conventional drills and twist drill bits. Similar to the HMD115, but with a full 25mm depth of cut. A powerful motor, heavy-duty, high-torque gearing along with the use of quick change RotaLoc Plus™ Annular Cutters combine for a broad range of applications. The rigid quill feed prevents tool vibration, eliminates gibs, slide/way adjustments and maintenance while providing a constant low
profile. The unit is equipped with a removable feed handle, which exposes a hex-head for ratcheting the feed in close quarters. The HMD150 is also equipped with positive slug ejection. The HMD150 includes many Hougen safety feaures including a lift detector, which shuts down the drill motor if lift of the magnet is detected, separate magnet engage/disengage and motor on/off switches. THE LOW PROFILE PORTABLE MAGNETIC DRILL FOR HOLEMAKING IN TIGHT SPACES
At only 198mm in height and a base of 165mm width x 297mm length, the patented HMD150 Low Profile Portable Magnetic Drill is designed specifically for fast, efficient holemaking in tight spaces. The motor develops 450 no-load RPMs. The gearing ratio complements the motor's power for reliable and uniform performance even through large diameter holes and tough materials.
