The Point (Port) Isabel Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse that was built in 1952 to guide ships through the Brazos Santiago Pass to Port Isabel. In 1905 it was extinguished and the lighthouse and land was sold by the government to a local citizen in 1927. In 1950 it was gifted to the Texas State Park Board who began restoring it in 1951. It was then opened to the public in 1952. It is operated by the City of Port Isabel.
