Farewell from your IP Lieutenant Governor... Hello Division 27, I can’t believe I’m writing my farewell already. From our park cleanup DCM at Marina with just over twenty members to my last DCM ice skating with over 120 members, I have witnessed our Division grow in service, size, and love. This past year has been filled with endless smiles, obstacles, and laughter, and I am so grateful to have been able to experience this journey with each of you. Special thanks to Anna Chen, Lauren Kim, Ronya Strom, Allison Li, Betty Park, and Maria Harsvik for helping me at each DCM. I could not have done it without your assistance running icebreakers, sending secretary report summaries, taking photos, and posting recap videos. Thank you to the rest of Division 27, Kirkland Kiwanis, and the PNW District Board for being there for me every step of the way. Please give a warm welcome to our incoming Lieutenant Governor Samuel Gonzalez! I cannot wait to see how much you’ll grow throughout your term. After seeing your enthusiasm and dedication before the start of your term, I am confident you will be bringing Division 27 to even greater heights. Keep up the hard work, and remember I’ll always be there if you need anything!

3

For my fellow seniors, I wish the best of luck to your future endeavors and can’t wait to see where this next chapter of your lives leads to. And for those who will continue to serve as Key Clubbers, I hope you will experience personal growth and strengthen your passion for service. From serving in Key Club I’ve learned that to not only to fulfill my ambitions, but surpass what I imagined possible—bringing over one hundred students together to make more than fifty no-sew blankets to donate to Seattle Children’s Hospital—no matter how hard I worked as an individual, true success came from the joint effort of individuals brought together. After each Key Club event, I’ve never failed to come home with a bigger heart and a bigger smile from the impact we’ve made and the feeling that I belong to a supportive family. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your Lieutenant Governor, these memories are ones I will cherish forever and ever. For one last time In love and service, Abbey Kim Lieutenant Governor of Division 27 Pacific Northwest District Key Club International

...and HELLO from your new Lt. G.! What’s Poppin Division 27? My name is Samuel Gonzalez, your Lieutenenant Governor of Division 27 for the 2018-2019 term! I’m grateful to be given the opportunity to have a greater impact not only on our sensational 11 clubs but also our amazing, growing 745 membership and counting! You might (but probably won’t) have recognized me as the IP president of Juanita High School’s Key Club (Go Rebs!), and if you went to DCON, you’ll probably recognize me as the guy in the SUPER weird spirit gear. But if anything has taught me these past couple years, its that the awe-inspiring spirit and energy of the division will not only inspire me but others as well throughout this next term. I want to thank our immediate past lieutenant governor Abbey Kim for her amazing work throughout her term, bringing our membership over 300 of what last year’s was as well as creating a community full of servant leaders like you! This past year has been amazing to work as a president under, and I hope that I’ll be able to continue the same work this year. The most important thing I’ve learned in key club is building relatioships with each other, so I hope every one of you strive to integrate each other into your own key club commuities and make friendships that will last a lifetime. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions regarding key club, or even if you just want to talk! The Lieutenant Governor’s job is to make the members feel at home within their own communities and I want to make Division 27 as much a home for you as it is for me. Within the coming term every club will increase in the srength of our spirit, the quality of our community, as well as the effectiveness of our communication. These three points will lead to a year abundant with service and reward, and hopefully, the next coming term will be even greater than the last! In spirit and service,

Samuel Gonzalez Lieutenant Governor of Division 27 Pacific NorthBEST District Key Club International Email: ltg27@pnwkeyclub.org Phone: (206) 773-4527

SAY HELLO TO YOUR 2018-2019

DISTRICT GOVERNOR

INGRID

REDFORD Hello, Pacific Northwest! My name is Ingrid Redford and I am both honored and humbled to be your 2018-2019 District Governor. Key Club has the ability to make an impact on hundreds of thousands of people. Over the past year, our district contributed over 92,000 service hours through our service to our homes, schools, and communities. As Key Clubbers, we make not only a large impact on our world, but also on individuals. With this being said, Key Club has shaped me into the person I am today and has taught me the value of service, leadership, and commitment. I plan to utilize my experience and insight as a member, club secretary, lieutenant governor, committee chair, and now, a District Governor, to implement growth and expand our district. My goals for this year are centered around a five-part plan that will advance our district progress through communication, resources, enhancing knowledge, growth, and leadership. These goals are focused on the inverted pyramid structure of Key Club, placing the emphasis on how we as a district can further serve our members, while fulfilling the mission of Key Club: service. Myself, along with the other Executive Officers, are here to serve you and want to hear voices from throughout our district. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or the other Executive Officers. We are just a text, message, call, or email away. Thank you and I look forward to meeting, talking, and working with you throughout the year! SAY HELLO TO YOUR 2018-2019

DISTRICT SECRETARY

BRANDON

ORICK

Greetings, PNW! My name is Brandon Orick, and I’ll be serving as your 2018-2019 District Secretary. I am beyond excited to engage in this position and grow this coming year. I believe my past experience as Lieutenant Governor of Division 70 has equipped me with the skills necessary to fulfill my position on the Executive Board. By utilizing monthly Secretary Reports to pinpoint specific issues that individual clubs are facing, the Executive Board can formulate strategies to help address these concerns. Serving as your secretary, I will act as a liaison between your club and the PNW District. I will work to insure that each club in need of assistance is heard and their issues are addressed. Through Key Club, I have learned the true meaning of service, and the true meaning of caring for one another. As secretary, I will be able to work closely with individual clubs and even individual members, creating strong relationships. I want to focus on being accessible to anyone who needs information or assistance, ultimately bridging the gap between the district and club level.  I will strive to keep bettering the organization that has given me so much. In Key Club, no goal is too high and opportunities are endless. I am inspired by Key Clubbers on a daily basis and am ecstatic to be able to work alongside you for this next year. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me, I am willing to help any way I can! SAY HELLO TO YOUR 2018-2019

DISTRICT TREASURER

ANDY HE Hello, PNW! My name is Andy He and I am so excited to serve as your 2018-2019 District Treasurer. I believe that having served as club treasurer to my own Key Club has given me the skills and the confidence to assist and lead treasurers across our great district. Throughout this year, I hope to set up a network of communications between myself and all club treasurers, enabling the sharing of successful strategies and tips so that we may all better execute the duties of treasurer. One of my main goals is to structure the role of a club treasurer to encompass three core areas: basic duties, fundraising, and membership. Some of the basic duties of a club treasurer include a detailed understanding of the dues-paying process, the chartering process of a club, and maintaining the club budget. Fundraising tasks would involve utilizing available resources to enhance the quality of service projects and fundraisers, or even applying for a PNWOF grant through the District. Finally, the membership component of a treasurer's role incorporates analyzing club strategies for active member involvement, club growth through recruitment, and discussing ways to boost membership retention with other club officers. Please remember that I am always here as a resource for all of your questions and concerns throughout this whole year. I know that dues season for treasurers can get very hectic, so please do not hesitate to reach out to me to request guidance on specific issues, offer tips, or if you just want to talk in general. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead! In Friendship and Service, Andy He District Treasurer Pacific Northwest District Key Club International Email: treasurer@pnwkeyclub.org Phone: (509)-201-7977
