The Yusupov Palace, a unique architectural ensemble of the XVIII-XX centuries, is one of the most visually stunning and glamorous palaces in Saint Petersburg, and this says a lot in a city where palaces literally step on each other. The Yusupov`s palace features exotic rooms such as the Moorish Room, a pool room with a secret compartment under the table and a wonderful Rococo theatre that is still used for concerts. The palace is perhaps best known as the site of the murder of Grigori Rasputin, a man with mystical powers who influenced the family of the last Russian tsar.
