Behind the wine is a divine dance of earth and climate, late night harvests, magical discoveries, the warmth of late-afternoon sun, the perfect amount of time spent in rare oak barrels, the gentle nurturing of historic Okanagan Valley vines...

welcome What’s the story? Serious oenophiles love to discuss the elements of great wine – from the grape variety and aging process to the influence of terroir on taste. But what about the stories behind the wineries that speak to the passion, inspiration and personality that live in each bottle? In this guide, you’ll get a taste of what lies ahead along each Kelowna Wine Trail. Be pleasantly surprised as you travel down quaint roads speckled with serene vineyards, orchards and farms just minutes from this modern, lakeside city. Be enchanted as knowledgeable proprietors, dedicated hosts and award-winning winemakers pour their wines and share their stories. The stories are many and varied – do not hesitate to ask for more! • Note: “fave sips” were chosen at the time of printing and could change at any time due to mood, food, music or new wine releases.

diG into kelowna’s

The Okanagan is the heart of BC wine country, but dig deeper and you’ll also discover that Kelowna is the birthplace of BC wine. Early pioneers cultivated the province’s first vineyards here – Father Pandosy’s Mission planted in the 1860s and grape growers Jesse Hughes, Martin Dulik, Frank Schmidt and the Rittich brothers planted from 1928 onward. By 1932, BC’s first commercial winery was established by the Capozzi, Bennett and Casorso families. Today it is one of Canada’s finest...Calona Vineyards Winery
