STYLE Jamaica is an initiative of the Tourism Linkages Network (TLN), a division of the Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF), an agency of the Ministry of Tourism.
Shopping is becoming an increasingly relevant component of the tourism value chain and has been converted into a determinant factor affecting destination choice, an important component of the overall travel experience and, in some cases the prime travel motivation. Style Jamaica was organized to leverage this new market trend by developing authentic and unique shopping experiences that adds value to Jamaica’s touristic offer.
STYLE Jamaica is executed annually as a shopping showcase in order to connect local designers to the tourism industry resulting in the diversification of on island shopping experiences while promoting Jamaica as a shopping destination.
First held in 2018, the showcase includes a curated STYLE Jamaica Runway show which features a range of fashion and accessories designers, who have participated in the annual Tourism Linkages Network Christmas in July Marketplace and Tradeshow. The showcase also features local artisans, entertainment and of course, the opportunity to shop in Jamaica!

My passion as a designer began as a child when I began to design and sew my own clothes and accessories. This continued into my adult years and attracted the admiration of friends and colleagues who became my first clients. This part-time hobby gradually morphed into a business incorporating my daughter and husband in 2016 when the business was registered and we began to specialize in bags and purses.
Amongst our collection are also the Jamaica Colours bags and purses which focus on the tourist industry.

always admired stacked bracelets, however I could never find unique ones, and I did not like what everyone else was wore. With my love for nature, I decide to make my own stacked bracelets from precious gemstones.
At first it was all about making bracelets for myself, but then my friends and colleagues became fascinated with them and was willing to purchase them. So I created angelbeads.

Am’oya
is a home-based micro company that was started out of a love for sewn products. The founder, Bridget Thompson-Dunkley, was inspired by pins on Pinterest to make a beach tote. One co-worker saw her with the 2nd bag she made and asked her to make a tote for her. That co-worker made recommendations and before you knew it, several coworkers asked her to make totes and from there, the business grew.
Here at Am’oya, our mission is to use quality fabrics to construct sturdy, well constructed multifunctional totes that are aesthetically pleasing to a wide range of customers. Although the bulk of our orders are for totes, we also supply duffels, wristlets, zippered pouches and cushions/cushion covers. Mamayashi
creates original designs, which allow for culturally aware, regally confident people to wear their declarations of freedom and sovereignty everyday. She creates clothing because one of the ways we put forth energy into society and the universe is through the way we dress.
Creating and designing clothing have always intrigued Mamayashi. She grew up in Jamaica under the protective care of a strong and determined mother, while watching her father work as an impeccable and well-respected tailor. Her journey evolved from crafting dolls’ clothing at her father’s shop to revamping her adolescent clothing. It was only as she nurtured her first born and watched him crawl towards his own independence, was she then ready to turn her passion into her profession. Inspired by the encouragement and support of like-minded sistrens, she began to share her textile expressions with the world.

Aviola
Accessories is a home-based business, owned and operated by Melissa Preddie, a young entrepreneur from Mandeville, Manchester.
Established in February 2013, Aviola specialises in the creation of handcrafted male and female accessories, fashioned from recycled Polyethylene (PET) [plastic] bottles and accentuated with semi-precious metals namely: brass, bronze copper and aluminum.
The name ‘Aviola’ is a combination of the first initial of the entrepreneur’s middle name -Andrea and her mother and grandmother’s (now deceased) who shared the same middle name ‘Viola’. Both – strong, artistic and creative women –significantly influenced Melissa’s creativity from an early-age.
The concept for Aviola emerged from Melissa’s recognition of the abundance of plastic bottles in the community and the negative impact on the environment. As an avid believer in recycling and observing that not many people were practicing it, she conducted research and discovered the business potential in utilizing these wasted bottles.

Iam a self taught Jamaican handmade jewelry artisan living in Negril, Jamaica.
Initially I began my working life in the pharmaceutical industry in 1998. In 2005, I was diagnosed with secondary adrenocortical insufficiency. This is a life threatening rare condition (1 in 100,000 persons) which affects your cortisol (stress) hormone. It requires lifelong treatment with steroids.
In March 2017, when my illness continued to take my life elsewhere, I was forced to think of another way to earn an income staying home as working as a part time pharmacist became very challenging. Thus, Julie’s Escape was born. Though jewellery making began as an accidental love, it has grown into a unique and compelling passion as I began to teach myself some very basic jewellery making techniques and developed the desire to learn a lot more.

The story goes: Three creatives walk into a bar and depart as one. Tamo Ennis - an accomplished fashion stylist, swimwear designer, film & music video director, and producer - and Kaysian Bourke-Wilson - an in-demand fashion designer and stylist, set designer, and event stylist - have married their aesthetics and seasoned skill sets with that of British-Jamaica fashion designer, stylist and creative director Troy Oraine Williamson, to manifest a collective to be known as The3rd
It is said that everything that comes in threes is perfection. And, Ennis, Bourke-Wilson, and Williamson seek to harness that ideal with an HQ that houses their respective labels
HOSE, Flowerchild 1999, and Tribe Nine Studios in a combined by-appointment atelier. Additionally, the trio have merged their styling, production, and consulting services along with extensive wardrobe archives to meet the commercial needs of a diverse clientele, in need of a reputable outfit.
The3rd has embark on a journey of fusion and from it they hope to create absolute charm, the third time around.
