In Northern Ireland, our pubs are places where we come together to meet each other, and everyone else. This is where we truly find ourselves, our colourful characters, our tales tall and true, our food, our drink, our craic and, of course, our giant welcome. Here's some of our favourite places, where the craic is always on tap:

1/ Crosskeys Inn, Toomebridge, Co. Antrim

Never mind that it’s the oldest thatched pub in Ireland, dating all the way back to the 1600s, this is somewhere to rest up a while and soak up the atmosphere, the age-old traditions, a Crosskeys single malt and a tune or two.

2/ The Sunflower, Belfast, Co. Antrim

If it’s live music, awesome pizza, local beers and spirits you’re after then this is your place. Throw in an eclectic, arty mix of décor and clientele and you’re all set for a night with the latest up and coming music acts.

3/ Bridge Bar, Newry, Co. Down

Opening the door of The Bridge Bar is like opening the book on Newry City itself – everyone’s here. In fact they’re all here for the great drink, with a gin bar and the best cocktails to indulge in.

4/ Keegan’s Bar, Armagh, Co. Armagh

It’s easy to spot the bright painted front and dinky little windows right in the heart of the City of Armagh. Behind that façade is a traditionally-styled family-run bar that offers a timeless welcome to locals and visitors alike.

5/ Blackbird, Derry~Londonderry

If ever there was a bar that could sing its own sweet song it would be Blackbird. The locals just love to crow about its reputation for amazing food, live music and selection of drinks from near and far.
