Be Beach SaFe You are never far from a supervised beach on Prince Edward Island. In West Prince Surf lifeguards are on duty at Jacques Cartier and Cedar Dunes Provincial Park beaches throughout the summer months. In certain conditions powerful rip currents can occur that can sweep swimmers away from shore. Follow these important tips if you are caught in a rip current: • Don’t panic. • Swim parallel to the shore to remove yourself from the current. • Do not try to swim against the current. For information on conditions at all supervised provincial park beaches visit www.tourismpei.com/beachreports
