NATURAL HABITAT, PRIVATE TOURS & ATTRACTIONS
Ever wanted to know the secret to eternal life? Well, here in the tropics, two of our most famous creatures may have solved the riddle! Maybe it’s the moist air keeping skin supple, maybe it’s their wily nature, but cassowary and the saltwater crocodile have been loitering around these parts since the dinosaurs roamed.

Those two aside, this region is teeming with extraordinary wildlife unique only to the area. Many of these creatures are either notoriously shy so you’d better have your camera at the ready so you can snap at crocodiles sunning on riverbanks or the glorious electric-blue Ulysses butterflies fluttering by. Want to get a little closer? Pop into Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures to get right up close to some of the weird and wonderful creatures that call Port Douglas and the Daintree home.
