Guelph has a unique history to share. We’re home to two National Historic Sites: the magnificent neo-geothic Cathedral, the Bascilica of our Lady Immaculate and the John McCrae House, the former home of Colonel John McCrae, author of “In Flanders Fields”. Within our historic downtown you’ll want to make sure you check out some of the one-of-a-kind shops and authentic restaurants while being sure to pay close attention to the unique architecture. Guelph is known for its dedication towards local food and many of the restaurants have made this a part of their repertoire.
