Freedom of the wind
By Madyson Black
As wonder what used to be
Awind as strong as the 7 seas
As I sit thinking about how I could be The wind waits to be free Stuck in this endless place
Just wanting people to see its grace It sits there waiting all alone
Being as still as a stone I wonder what happens there
In a place with silent air I sit in my bed thinking about Knowing the wind will be free without doubt

Friendship weaves together laughter, secrets, and support, forming a special bond between people. Relationships like this are important because they make our experiences richer and help us figure out who we are. But sometimes, friendships can break, just like delicate glass sculptures can shatter, leaving us feeling hurt and confused. Was it a misunderstanding, a clash of personalities, or simply drifting apart? Reflecting on our actions, and our feelings, and understanding our friend’s perspective helps us navigate the complexity of the situation. How do you fix broken friendships, and when do you walk away?
Honest conversation is key to repairing a friendship. When we talk, it’s important to be thoughtful and listen actively. We should hear our friends’perspectives while also expressing our thoughts. This exchange aids in our mutual understanding and problem-solving.When we realize we have messed up, it is crucial to admit it and apologize.Asincere apology where you take responsibility, recognize how your actions affected your friend, and make amends is vital to rebuilding trust. It's also important to be open to forgiving our friends when they say sorry too. Forgiving takes time and understanding. When trust gets broken, it's like trying to fix a shattered vase. It takes time and work. Being consistent and showing we're reliable helps rebuild that trust. Just like plants need time to grow, healing wounds in friendships takes time too. We have to be patient and let things unfold naturally.
Sometimes, despite trying hard, a friendship can become unhealthy or unhelpful for both people. Signs it might be time to end a friendship include feeling drained or unhappy after spending time with a friend, experiencing repeated betrayals of trust or disrespect, or recognizing that the friendship is hindering your personal growth. Letting go is hard, but taking care of yourself and finding positive influences is crucial for your mental and emotional health. It’s okay to move on from friendships that don’t fit your values or goals.Trust yourself and remember, leaving doesn’t erase the good times; it makes room for new and better connections in the future.
Friendships are crucial and require care. We can strengthen our connections through communication, apologizing for mistakes, and rebuilding trust. Let’s put what we’ve learned into practice to enhance our friendships and foster deeper understanding between us.

How to Make Cotton Candy
1. **Prepare the Machine**: Set up a cotton candy machine on a stable surface. Ensure it's clean and assembled according to the manufacturer's instructions. Plug it in and allow it to preheat.
2. **Add Sugar**: Pour granulated sugar into the machine’s spinning head. You can use regular white sugar or specially flavored and colored cotton candy sugar.
3. **Spin the Sugar**:Turn on the machine. The spinning head will heat up, melting the sugar. As it spins, the melted sugar is forced through tiny holes, solidifying in the air to form fine threads.
4. **Collect the Cotton Candy**: Use a cone or stick to collect the cotton candy. Hold the cone vertically and move it around the bowl’s edge in a circular motion, letting the spun sugar adhere to it. Gradually, the cotton candy will build up on the cone.
5. **Shape and Serve**: Once you have enough cotton candy on the cone, shape it with your hands if necessary, and serve immediately. Cotton candy is best enjoyed fresh, as it can collapse or harden if left out for too long.

Many people have big opinions on if dance is a sport or not. Some students here at ORMS participate in dance and feel strongly that dance is a sport. Sydney Leonard who is is Blue Squad member, stated “you are moving and it's challenging. You are also getting sweaty and that's what a sport is."
Some people feel that dance is not a sport for many reasons. One of those reasons is that it’s not as physical. I disagree with that that. Dance is physical and hard just like any other sport. You gain strength by doing dance just like any other sport.Afootball player could most likely not do a dance performance.
Sydney Leonard also said, “they think that dance is easy and they've never done it. If they have, and they don't think it's hard, then they weren't trying hard enough." Dance is just as much of a sport as football, basketball, and baseball are. In conclusion, the question is dance a sport is very controversial but in my opinion, in the end, it is a real sport.
