Dress Code Tower Hill’s dress code is connected to the School’s mission that prepares students from diverse backgrounds for full and creative engagement with a dynamic world. The dress code is written to facilitate students’ self-expression within the bounds of propriety and seriousness of purpose. All clothing should be appropriate to a learning environment, clean, in good repair, and should fit appropriately.

School Dress During The Academic Day

Dress code is required during the academic day, in all areas of the school. Dress code is also required during formal gatherings, which include special programs and as announced. Dress will be specified for all off-campus travel. The following dress is always appropriate: 1. Polo, blouse, or buttoned-down collared shirt, tucked in; and 2. Skirt, dress, shorts, or slacks; and 3. Dress shoes, sneakers, or sandals, other than athletic or flip flop style. Waterproof shoes/ boots are also permitted during inclimate weather. Other athletic attire (beyond sneakers) should not be worn during the academic day, and jeans and t-shirts are not permitted during the academic day or formal gatherings. Hats should not be worn indoors, except for religious head coverings. Our dress code is gender neutral. Any student can wear any of the items permitted in the above dress code.

Dress Down Days

Tower Hill spirit wear is always appropriate if properly sized and in good repair. In addition, students may wear jeans, sweatpants, athletic pants, opaque leggings and yoga pants (without cut-outs), sweatshirts, t-shirts, untucked shirts, and flip-flops and athletic sandals (if appropriate to a student’s daily activities). All other dress code rules, including fit, writing, and logo rules, remain in effect.
