Festive Fudge

Makes approx. 25 squares

Instructions

Coat an 8-inch square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Lining the pan with parchment paper will make it easier to remove the fudge from the pan once it is set.

Melt chocolate chips, condensed milk and butter over medium-low heat in a saucepan, until the mixture is smooth. Remove mixture from heat and stir in any mix-ins. Pour into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula. Refrigerate until the fudge is set (2-3 hours). Cut into squares, store in an airtight container for up to two weeks or freezer for up to two months.

¾ cup butter, fully melted

¾ brown sugar

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 35 minutes, or until edges look dark and middle feels rm to the touch. Set the pan on a rack to cool slightly, then cut into squares and serve warm. Top with powdered sugar if desired.

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350o and thoroughly grease a 9x13 pan. Mix the melted butter and sugars together in a large bowl until smooth. While continuing to mix, add the eggs and vanilla.

Add the our, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt to the bowl of wet ingredients and stir until combined. Transfer batter to the prepared baking pan and press into an even layer.

In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon for the topping, then sprinkle over the batter.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is just turning golden. Allow to cool for 30 minutes before slicing & serving.
