June 1 – July 31, 2022 All Contra Costa County Libraries Explore the great outdoors and great books with this year’s Summer Reading program, “Read Beyond the Beaten Path” at the Contra Costa County Library! The program runs from June 1 to July 31 and will include all kinds of activities and events to help you become one with nature. Readers of all ages can visit ccclib.org/summer for activities and challenges to feed the imagination and explore new skills. Every completed entry is eligible for a free book and a chance to win prizes!

Dates to be Announced After a two-year interruption, Danville Library is excited to announce the return of live Mother Goose, Toddler, Preschool and Family Story Times! You can’t beat the lively combination of books, finger plays, rhymes, songs, movement activities and more to help reinforce a lifelong love of learning while building language and literacy skills. Saturdays, May 21; June 25; July 30, August 27 10am – 2pm Mt Diablo Room, Danville Library Don't miss the Friends of the Danville Library's next Pop-up Book Sale once a month on Saturdays, 10am to 2pm, in the Mt. Diablo Room! There are various genres for sale including non-fiction, general fiction, mysteries, cookbooks, art books, children's books, gift items, book bags and more! Find some great deals at these special pop-up sales for one day only each month! All proceeds benefit the Danville Library.
The Friends also host a small bookshelf in the library (by Print Station) where you can browse and purchase book titles and DVDs for all ages. These shelves are regularly refreshed with new materials!
Wednesdays, June 15 and July 13 11:15 – 2pm Danville Town Green (in front of the library) Get immersed in summer music, crafts and stories with Danville’s annual Kidchella Reading & Music Festival! A music-filled story time will be followed with musical crafts and live performances by popular children’s bands. Celebrate summer with this fun and lively series!
DANVILLE LIBRARY TEEN ADVISORY BOARD (TAB) ATTENTION ALL TEENS: MAKE YOUR OPINIONS COUNT AT THE DANVILLE LIBRARY!
Applications available beginning August 8th The Danville Library is pleased to announce that we’ll be accepting applications for the 2022-23 Teen Advisory Board beginning in the fall of 2022. We’re looking for creative and energetic volunteers from the ages of 13-18 who want to make a difference! TAB members plan events, help build the teen collection and have fun working together. Applications are due back no later than Sept. 24.
