Check the calendar on the front page to see which week your area has recycling collected. Your collection days are also available at victoriapark.wa.gov.au/bincollection

FAQs

5.30am

What time do I need to put my bins out? Bins should be placed on the verge prior to 5.30am on your collection day.

under 70kg 1m

30cm

How should my bins be placed on the verge? Your general waste (green lid) and recycling (yellow lid) bins must be placed one metre from the kerbside, clear from any obstructions such as power poles, street trees, parked cars. Please ensure bin lids are completely closed.

How often are my bins collected? Green lid bins are collected weekly and yellow lid bins are collected fortnightly. Refer to the calendar on the front page to see when your yellow lid bin is collected.

Who do I call if my bin isn’t collected? Call Cleanaway on 6557 6907 and they will organise for your bin to be emptied.

What happens to my bin collections on public holidays? Your green lid and yellow lid bins will be collected as normal on public holidays except New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Christmas Day. For 1 January, 10 April and 25 December collections will take place the following day of your scheduled collection day.

What happens if I place something in the wrong bin? You will need to remove the contaminated rubbish and then it will be collected.

What do I do if my bin has been stolen? You will need to report stolen bins to the WA Police on 131 444 to obtain a police report reference number. You can then contact the Town, quote the reference number and arrange a replacement.

How can I keep my general waste bin clean and free of odour? Consider wrapping food waste in newspaper. Highly odorous food waste such as seafood should be frozen, wrapped and placed in the bin on the evening prior to collection day. If after the bin has been collected it still smells, please pressure clean or clean your bin.
