Introduction Townscape has been established for over 30 years as a specialist designer and manufacturer of street furniture products and paving. We are unique in our ability to produce items in concrete, steel, cast iron, timber and polymer all within our in-house manufacturing facilities based in Nottinghamshire. We offer a wide choice of product and finish to suit all architectural and environmental projects externally and internally. In addition we can offer a bespoke service for both design and manufacture.

How to navigate this brochure Our products are split into three ranges:

Essentials – Right on Price A range of products which are commonplace in the market and where the purchasing decision is influenced by price. The customer will be looking for a product which is totally ‘fit for purpose’ but also very cost effective. Townscape can offer fast or next day delivery on this range of products.

Principles – Right on Choice High specification products which most often benefit from longer life cycles and reduced maintenance requirements. In addition to serviceability appearance is extremely important. A number of standard product options are available to enable the customer to customise our product. The products may be specified by contractors who are responsible for on-going maintenance. Price remains important but is not the only factor to be considered when selecting items from this range.

Innovations – Right on Design Product specification tends to be very much customer driven and often the enquiry is more ‘project’ rather than ‘product’ driven. The range is a collection of unique designs and bespoke product. The Townscape’s reputation as a supplier of high quality, distinctive products is an important decision making factor for our customer. This brochure is split into Product Groups, each one having its own colour code and the product content is then split by material followed by brand. Summary and Materials

Townscape offers a range of bollards in a material to suit every type of application. Both modern and traditional designs are available and they are suitable for permanent in ground fixing or can be removable. The main function of a bollard is to provide an open barrier to separate pedestrians from vehicles. Increasingly they can also act as a protective ram-raid feature around a building or other vulnerable area. The end use of a bollard will affect the design selection process as the visibility in terms of height, width and finish will have to be considered. The bollards can be personalised to customer requirements and have optional features added such as reflective strips, badges, stubbing plates and eyebolts.

Concrete Bollards Products can be produced with smooth grey finish (OPC) or smooth plain white finish (PW). A range of ten Prestige finishes to match the paving products is also available. Exposed aggregate surface finishes using river bed materials, granites or limestone aggregates are produced to complement alternative concrete products. The product used can be made to appear differently by use of an alternative matrix material. Aggregates can also be varied from 6mm â&#x20AC;&#x201C; 14mm graded materials. Concrete will always exceed the minimum requirement of 30N/mm2. Bollards will be cast with an internal steel re-inforcement cage, which will in the event of severe impact maintain the integrity of the unit.

Polymer Bollards A high quality engineering grade polyurethylene cast around a mild steel core section. The polyurethylene will be pigmented to create a match to the final 2 pack polyurethylene, wet spray application, gloss finish.

Stainless Steel Bollards Hollow tubular and square sections. Grade 304 Stainless steel with a satin finish suitable for all inland installations or Grade 316 Stainless steel which is more suited to coastal installations. Polished finish on sections can be achieved.

Steel Bollards Tubular or square hollow sections. Prior to finishing all steel is shotblasted, steel can be supplied primed only, electro zinc plated and powder coated or hot dipped galvanised.

Timber Bollards Hardwood timbers supplied from managed forests. FSC certified timber can be supplied if specified by the customer.

Cast Iron Bollards Ductile cast iron with high tensile strength as opposed to grey cast iron with minimal tensile strength is used for bollards. Cast iron products are finished using a high zinc protective priming coat before powder coating.

Leicester Recognise the Lifecycle Benefits of Polymer In common with every other council across the UK, Leicester City Council is continuously striving to get ‘best value’ on their purchases. One area where Townscape has been able to help most recently is in the supply of a cost effective bollard solution. For many years the Council have stocked and installed a unique design cast iron bollard. The bollard is installed extensively throughout the City. The case study review identified a number of issues which required an innovative solution. The cast iron bollard is extremely heavy, 68Kg to be precise and the manual handling implications for the installation team were considerable. Townscape’s solution was to manufacture an exact copy of the Leicester bollard in their lightweight, durable polymer compound. The new polymer bollard weighed only 22Kg and therefore after proper training was a safe lift for one person. The City’s image is very important to the Council and to maintain the high standards they strive for, the cast iron bollards needed to be re-painted at least once in the first 5 years – sometimes every couple of years in the most ‘exposed’ locations. This has now become prohibitive in terms of time and money. The benefit of Townscape’s polymer bollards is that they are effectively maintenance free during the initial 10 year period. Even then the application of a coat of paint is for cosmetic reasons. The bollards are not quite but almost ‘fit and forget’. Because the bollards are used in a lot of different situations, from simple pedestrian segregation to highways applications, the Townscape polymer bollard was also available as a full Ram Raid bollard. This was accomplished by the use of their multi core design. Importantly these bollards are identical in terms of external appearance. To ensure service levels are consistent and timely Townscape holds a quantity of the bollards in stock for next day delivery. Most post and rail is fixed into the ground although on-ground fix is available. Slopes and angles can be accommodated. Hoop barriers can have a single or double rail added to give extra visibility when installed. They are used to protect pedestrians and cyclists from traffic flow and because of their simple structure, they can be produced to a variety of heights and lengths.

Without a little help from its friends, Bulwell Bogs could have been demolished in 2002. However, the future’s looking good for the popular play area. Bulwell Bogs is a park for families to play, paddle and fish. In fact, it’s been known as the Bogs for around 900 years. The area is located next to the River Leen in the centre of Bulwell, and even has it’s own campaign group. They’re called the Friends of the Bogs... Jackie Morris, who is the Chair of the group, explains its appeal: “This was our playground. We went in the river when it was warm and we just played here as children. It’s such a special place.” “Over the years, people have come to think of [The Bogs] more with emotions than anything else so what we’re doing is touching nearly everyone in Bulwell.” In 2002, the Bogs were nearly demolished to make way for a transport interchange. Due to public opposition, the City Council eventually scrapped the plans. Jackie was prepared to take extreme measures. “I threatened to chain myself to the railings on the bridge... “I was very thankful they didn’t put me to the test because I don’t think I would have liked to have been down here all night on my own.” Jackie says: “It’s the accumulation of nearly four years work to replace the old tired paddling pool and get a state of the art water-park for the people of Bulwell.” With friends like Jackie, the Bogs will be open for generations to come........

Designer Stainless Steel Bollard & Barriers go ‘Al Fresco’ Townscape has been very active in the bespoke street furniture market for many years. In part this has been driven by the Company’s unique ability to design and manufacture to the clients’ specific brief and in a range of materials. We have a proven track record in concrete, timber, polymer and steel products, quite often utilising a combination of materials to deliver the project concept. The latest example of this design innovation in action is on show at the Tamatanga restaurant in the heart of Nottingham’s Cornerhouse region. The restaurant prides itself in doing things differently. For a start it is branded as a ‘canteen’ and the customer’s menu doubles up as a place mat. The restaurant proprietor, Aman Kular approached Townscape following a recommendation from another local business. His remit was clear; he wanted to create an outdoor, smart but casual place to eat. Townscape’s response was to design a unique stainless steel bollard and barrier solution. The barriers provide segregation and protection to the diners whilst helping to create the ‘al fresco’ dining experience. Townscape was able to deliver the complete turnkey package. After the initial site survey Townscape supported the client through the planning stage. The bespoke design and manufacture was undertaken in Townscape’s UK manufacturing facility and followed by a full installation service. Seats, benches, dining sets are all offered in the Townscape range and each design offers unique features but they all have a common theme of quality construction, highly durable surface finish and functionality in performance. Great care is taken at the design stage to ensure that seat height, backrest pitch and armrest angle provide safety and comfort for the user as well as being aesthetically pleasing. All styles of designs are included in the range from traditional cast iron seats to highly polished stainless steel benches. Dining sets are functional and inviting. Products are available in concrete, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, timber, polymer and recycled plastic.

Cast Iron Seating Seat ends from ductile cast iron will resist low speed impact and not break. Ductile cast iron has a high tensile strength. Cast iron products are finished using a high zinc protective priming coat before powder coating.

Concrete Seating Products can be produced with smooth grey finish (OPC) or smooth plain white finish (PW). A range of ten Prestige finishes to match the paving products is also available. Exposed aggregate surface finishes using river bed materials, granites or limestone aggregates are produced to complement alternative concrete products. Aggregates can also be varied from 6mm â&#x20AC;&#x201C; 14mm graded materials. Concrete will always exceed the minimum requirement of 30N/mm2. These may be completely cast products, or component parts such as seat top, seat end frames or supports. The latter two items generally combine with elements from contrasting materials such as timber, steel or stainless steel

Steel Seating. Steel sections will be shot blasted and zinc plated prior to powder coating . Perforated plate and sheet material will be cleaned prior to electro zinc plating and powder coating.

Timber Seating Hardwood timber slats all supplied from managed forests and treated with Sadolin Natural to enhance wood grain and colour. FSC certified timber can be supplied if specified by the customer.

Polymer Seating A high quality engineering grade polyurethylene cast around a mild steel core section. The polyurethylene will be pigmented to create a match to the final 2 pack polyurethylene, wet spray application, gloss finish.

In part this has been driven by the Company’s unique ability to design and manufacture to the clients specific brief and in a range of materials. We were therefore delighted to be asked by Newcastle City Council to help with the regeneration of Old Eldon Square war memorial. This involved the development of bespoke plaques incorporated into the design of Townscape’s Baltimore seats each of which represents UK forces regiments over the past 90 years. The placement of an additional engraved brass plaque detailing the regiment name and years of service was also placed on the back of the seat as a fitting reminder to the efforts undertaken by UK forces in a number of campaigns. The Baltimore Seat was chosen from a number of designs by the veterans group as the best solution for representing the heritage of the past and being comfortable enough to allow for a few moments rest and reflection in the heart of a thriving city retail space. Additionally a seat that was strong and robust was also a requirement as the memorial garden will be an important part of Remembrance Day services for years’ to come. The site was officially open in June of this year with many City dignitaries and members of the veterans group viewing the finished gardens for the first time. North Middlesex University Hospital – Design Driven External Furniture by Townscape TOWNSCAPE has developed an extensive range of external furniture to enhance the landscaped areas of North Middlesex University Hospital’s new development, due to open in June 2010. The company worked very closely with the Bougyues Consortium, which built and co-funded the £118m project, under the Private Finance Initiative (PFI), and the project architect Gillespies. Townscape supplied: 33 Wessex Stainless steel seats with: unique comfortable profile and supportive armrests; seat ends that are plasma cut with substantial supporting members for the heavy duty FSC Iroko timber slats; top edges with a tubular steel section to give the seat a smooth line; each leg featuring the distinctive Wessex grooves, enhancing overall appearance; 33 Matching range of stainless steel bins, bollards and tree guards; 33 In the hospital courtyard - heavy duty wall mounted FSC sapele timber benches co ordinate with large Wessex timber planters creating a distinctive area for reflection. 33 A comprehensive range of cycle storage facilities will follow later this year. The project, which will house new accident and emergency services, diagnostics, inpatients, operating theatres and endoscopy, was completed ahead of programme and on budget. Seats 3 or 4 people and is manufactured from mild steel with hardwood timber seating slats. The seat measures 1820 overall length, height 780mm and a depth of 620mm. A substantial steel frame with tubular top and bottom rail fitted with six vertically placed tie bars, each one with welded tab to locate security fixing into slats. Six Sapele hardwood slats form the seat support and are fitted to form a comfortable sitting position. The unit is mounted on two closed top tubular legs set at 1200mm centres, each with three distinctive grooves machined to create a design feature, the base plate is shaped and has four drilled fixing positions in each.

Voltan Range The Voltan range offers an extensive choice of seating elements to fulfil any requirement. The well formed design provides both comfort and support together with versatility. Distinguished by the circular perforated pattern the seating units are manufactured from 2.00mm sheet steel that is zinc plated prior to powder coating. All Voltan seat designs will ensure that the seat skin support elements are bolted together in order to allow each component to receive full plating and painting treatment.

Seating elements are available as single, two or three seat units, these can be joined to form multi-seat options. The seats can be formed to create radial seating or positioned back to back. A bank of individual seating positions is provided with the Trio seat, this incorporates the 525mm wide single seat skin. Flat or round section armrests can be provided with any seat, these can be fitted at each end or at intermediate positions. Various options are available for surface mounting. The pedestal leg is a standard feature throughout, although various on ground leg options may also be considered, in ground fixing and wall fixing brackets can be provided. The seat units are also used to create alternative seating such as picnic or dining sets.

Voltan bench units (no back rest) manufactured from the same high quality material offers an alternative form of providing seating positions. These are again available in various lengths to provide the single, two or three seating unit, and can be used together to form extended or multi seat options.

All seats and benches can be supplied with a wide range of concrete support legs that can be used to co-ordinate with prestige paving products.

High level perch seating units, in varying lengths, to create temporary rest positions are also available in this range.

The construction of the seating range allows for a maximum of three colours to be used on a single unit.

TOWNSCAPE’S DISCUS RANGE SUPPORTS FANS OF THE MK DONS!! One of the high profile contracts carried out by TOWNSCAPE PRODUCTS LIMITED recently has been to provide integrated tables and seating from its DISCUS range for the new KFC Restaurant at the stadiummk in Milton Keynes, the home of the MK Dons football team. The stunning stadiummk, with a 22,000 capacity, was opened in 2007, featuring 360° panoramic views from the open concourse, a vast Grand Ballroom, 128-room fourstar hotel and extensive conference facilities. Comfortable and convenient catering for thousands of excited hungry fans on match days was a priority for the MK Dons. The new KFC Restaurant located in the stadium complex was more than able to meet the challenge. However it wanted to install a range of integrated tables and seating for outdoor dining that was convenient, robust, easy to clean and modern in design in keeping with the overall stadium complex. Working with its client, KFC and project contractors, SME Group, Townscape produced a particular specification for its Discus range. The installation features the Discus Picnic set with 2, 3, 4 and 6-seater variations, including units with full wheelchair access. All the units are secured below ground and finished in a polyester, powder-coated colour scheme of the client’s choice. The Idigbo hardwood timber tops are finished with several coats of sadolin treatment to enhance their appearance. The standard Discus table has a round top, with the Townscape’s unique routed profile, but Townscape also produced square and petal profile tops for this project, demonstrating the firm’s bespoke manufacturing capability. Litter control is an increasingly difficult issue in todayâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s urban environment and Townscape can provide litter bins in a range of styles, capacities and aesthetic finish to suit all architectural and environmental situations. Manufactured from a choice of concrete, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, plastic and timber with optional features including logos, ashtrays, stubbing plates, canopies, bait boxes and top or side door emptying facility. The range also includes grit bins, an anti-bomb bin, a firestop bin and a dog waste bin.

Cast Iron Litter Bins Cast iron litter bins from ductile cast iron will resist low speed impact and not break. Ductile cast iron has a high tensile strength. Cast iron products are finished using a high zinc protective priming coat before powder coating.

Concrete Litter Bins Products can be produced with smooth grey finish (OPC) or smooth plain white finish (PW). A range of ten Prestige finishes to match the paving products is also available. Exposed aggregate surface finishes using river bed materials, granites or limestone aggregates are produced to complement alternative concrete products. The materials used can be made to appear differently by use of different matrix material. Aggregates can also be varied from 6mm â&#x20AC;&#x201C; 14mm graded materials. Concrete will always exceed the minimum requirement of 30N/mm2.

Steel Litter Bins Steel sections will be shot blasted and zinc plated prior to powder coating . Perforated plate and sheet material will be cleaned prior to electro zinc plating and powder coating.

The 120 litre bin is manufactured utilising mechanical joints for the main elements which enables each component to be rust proofed individually and prior to assembly. This prevents rust lines appearing on welded seams after a few years in service. The bin has four large apertures, one on each approach, each lined with stainless steel cladding. The cladding has a number of benefits in that it prevents the bin from sustaining unsightly chips which often occur in these high impact areas. They eliminate any chance of rusting, the components can be cleaned (vigorously) and importantly they look good and enhance the perception of quality. Similarly the key entrance to the lock mechanism is protected by a stainless steel ring. The locking plate itself is manufactured from laser cut stainless steel. This high impact component will not deteriorate over the life of the bin.

The hinge mechanism is manufactured utilising a stainless steel rod and self lubricating nylon bushes. This is both robust and maintenance free. The use of laser cut lettering eliminates the possibility of damage to labels.

Townscape offer a complete range of cycle parking shelters and racks which are suitable for all environments and can accommodate just a few cycles or motorbikes or as many as a hundred. The legs are drilled to facilitate fixing of loose spigot which allows the client to dispose of spigot and fix into core drilled hole. The overall dimensions on this rack are 748mm wide x 1050mm high to allow for casting in ground 300mm leaving 750mm above ground. The polymer cover is designed to finish at floor level and reflective bands can be fitted if required. When fitted to this style of cycle rack the reflective tape will be flush with the surface of the polymer. The recess in each leg allows 50mm wide tape to be fixed and the top recess allows a fixing of 100mm wide tape. Tape is available in Red, White or Yellow conforming to Class Ref. 2. Eco Range Made from a variety of waste plastics, the basic material of the products has a secondary conservation role by contributing to the re-use of the materials that go into the original manufacture of plastics. The main ingredients are low and high density polyolefins which are combined to give malleability, flexibility and resistance to stress supplemented by other materials to give rigidity and resistance to impact. The formulation can further be varied to meet special purposes by the inclusion of other non-plastic waste materials. Betony Cycle Bollard This bollard has been designed to accommodate cycle wheels of a range of sizes and comprises two recycled plastic uprights joined at the top by a 150mm x 100mm mild steel section with an eyebolt to take a security device. At ground level the uprights are joined by an angled wheel-stop. The in ground section has one lateral anchor-bar passing through the uprights for securing in the concrete footings. Summary and Materials

Townscape offers a range of shelters and accessory products including cycle and motorcycle storage systems, covered walkways and weather shades, smoking and youth shelters. These modern designs are extremely robust and suitable for any high-density populated area. Cycle shelters can be provided in a number of different formats, with roof only or roof and back or roof, back and side panels. We are also able to supply cycle and motorcycle storage shelters and compounds, which offer an enhanced level of security to higher value items. The compounds are secure, lockable and provide all-round visability, so that the contents can be supervised at all times. They are also configurable to accommodate varying numbers of users. Townscape are also able to supply an extensive range of smoking shelters, canopied walkways, weather shades and youth shelters. Most of these are manufactured to client requirements from anodized aluminium, galvanised mild steel, stainless steel, and hard and soft timbers. Canopies can be made in architectural, PVC coated polyester or coated glass cloth in a range of colours. Standard units are available but in most cases, the shelters are manufactured to suit site dimensions. Typically shelters are manufactured from heavy duty box section framework which is either hot dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 or zinc plated to EN 12329-2000. If required a powder coating paint system is then applied to a RAL or BS specification. Where clear sheeting material is part of the design, cut and profiled PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Clycol) is supplied for fixing on assembly. Shelter packages are offered with the following levels of supply and service:Supply only ex works Supply in flat pack form on pallets. Extent of supply will include all steelwork elements together with PETG or alternative sheeting. Complete with all assembly instructions and assembly bolts and fixings. Details of base area required together with foundation details will be supplied. Foundation bolts are not included. Supply and delivery. As above except product will be delivered to the nominated address. It is essential that suitable access and hard-standing for vehicle is available. Responsibility for off loading with suitable equipment will be the clients. Supply Delivery and Installation. Product will be manufactured, delivered and off loaded by Townscape Products.Suitable adjacent hard-standing for vehicle will be required for the duration of the installation. All ground-works must be prepared. Drilling and fixing to ground with suitable anchors will be included. The site will be cleared of all unwanted packing materials and left in good order.

Products Grasvenor Avenue Infant School Steve Ricketts - Caretaker The school needed the shelter to be fitted into concrete pockets in a grassed area. The toast racks were left freestanding to allow easy removal for cutting of the grass. This shelter has become multifunctional, during events such as school fetes and sports days the toast racks are taken out and the shelter is used as a spectator stand or tea stall. Steve said, “We are really happy with the shelter, it fits in well with the surroundings, and the kids love it. An added bonus is that if subsequently we pave the area we can simply unbolt the shelter and either move it to a different location or reinstate it to the original site.”

All CT Blocks Manufactured To PAS 68 Standard

To prevent unwanted vehicle incursion into a zone around a building or other secure area. The protected areas often include busy pedestrian plazas’. Protected areas adjacent to vehicle drop off points must facilitate the passage of high volumes of pedestrians. The installations are usually in ‘front of building’ locations and while projecting a strong visual deterrent must complement the surrounding building fabric.

Townscape’s Solution The use of Townscape’s range of vehicle defence CT Blocks The CT Blocks are manufactured from a unique reconstituted natural stone mix using specially selected aggregates. Additional quartz rich Cornish fines can be added to enhance finish of the exposed natural stone. The CT Blocks are cast around a steel reinforced frame which connects to 4 stainless steel inserts for lifting with eye bolts.

Client Base Townscape’s range of vehicle defence CT Blocks are now being deployed in a number of high profile public and private facilities across the country. These include Airports, Transport and Utility infrastructure, Sports Stadia, MOD facilities, Schools etc

Factors And Figures The installation of the blocks is very straightforward and is responsible for generating overall project cost savings of circa 50% over fixed bollard solutions (which we also supply). Non standard size blocks can be manufactured so that specifications and standards are then project specific.

The requirement from the client was to prevent unwanted vehicle incursion onto the busy pedestrian plazasâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; at the front of the airport terminals adjacent to the vehicle drop off points. The additional measures were required at the Departure and Arrivals of T1, T2, and T3 terminals. Following the terrorist attack at Glasgow airport the need for increased vehicle access security measures is an issue that Manchester Airport has reacted to very robustly. However rather than view the additional measures as a hindrance to the normal operation of a very busy international airport, Manchester has grasped the opportunity to incorporate the required changes with revised public transport and taxi drop off arrangements. The changes are designed to improve customer transit times and enhance the whole airport experience. The preferred solution incorporated the installation of Townscapeâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s CT Block vehicle defence units. Each block weighs 2.2 tonnes and is manufactured to the PAS 68 standard at Townscapeâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s UK factory. The specification was made taking into account a number of factors.

Appearance The CT Blocks combine the elements of form and function perfectly. When installed the blocks collectively convey a strong visual deterrent while adding an attractive feature to the open plaza. The CT Blocks were manufactured from a unique reconstituted stone mix using specially selected aggregates. Additional quartz rich Cornish fines were added to the mix to enhance the final finish of the exposed natural stone. Ease of Installation The method of installation specified did not require deep foundations as would have been the case with a bollard solution thereby obviating the need to re route the underlying services. The lack of disruption associated with this method of installation was a major consideration for the client. Cost Effectiveness Finally the overall project cost was an important consideration. The CT block solution generated substantial savings for the client over the alternative PAS 68 bollard solution. The savings resulted from a lower unit cost for the blocks but more significantly a substantially lower installation cost, due to the absence of major groundworks with the CT Block solution. The main emphasis of the colour of Prestige Paving is from the natural pigments contained within the matrix of the wearing course. Additional high quality pigments may be added to enhance the natural pigments, or match the colours to other elements of the project. This produces a paver that is in harmony with natural stone with similar weathering qualities to quarried stone products. Prestige mixes also contain quartz rich fines to give added sparkle.

Innovations

Water Hall Primary School The provision of high quality, high specification educational facilities is a key element of the government’s drive to raise standards in education. Working closely with the Architect, Alex Freemantle, Townscape has helped to create a unique external and internal landscape at Water Hall Primary School in Milton Keynes. Townscape’s bespoke paving blends harmoniously with the naturally warm brickwork, cream render panels and precast sill elements used on the main structure of the school buildings. The internal courtyard is a focal point of the school designed to provide a restful space, which at the same time stimulates and excites the imagination of the children using it. Townscape’s paving comprises a reconstituted stone wearing course, having a slightly textured surface for enhanced slip resistance, bonded to a high density concrete backing for durability. The result is a paved area that forms the perfect backdrop for the artwork and feature points of the courtyard. Alex, a partner at Wyatt MacLaren, was particularly pleased with the way that the colours of the paving blended with the pre-cast elements and also specified the same paving for use on the patio areas situated outside each classroom, which are utilised as outdoor learning centres. The paving is also used to great effect within the building in the main entrance and playground lobby as a continuation of the main entrance path that curves through the courtyard. Material Maintenance Concrete Requires minimal maintenance. Where products may stand in areas that may be splashed with surface water, an occasional wash with clean warm water containing a mild detergent by hand, with stiff brush. Concrete products will retain their original colours. Products with reflective bands should be cleaned on a regular basis to ensure they remain fit for purpose. All street furniture items should be checked on a regular basis to ensure fixings and fittings are intact and safe.

Timber Timber seat slats will over a period of time through exposure to elements and sunlight become dull in appearance. Timbers may become stained with dirt from overhead trees. Timber slats can be washed by hand with clean warm water or with pressure spray equipment. Use this equipment at a distance of not less than 250mm with no more than 100bar pressure. An annual application of wood protection system will ensure the timbers retain their original lustre.

Polymer Polymer products do not require an ongoing maintenance programme other than to wash if the products become dirty. Wash with warm water containing a mild detergent using soft cloth. Grit that has become attached to the product should be soaked to assist removal and care taken not to scratch the top surface.

Stainless Steel Requires minimal maintenance. Where products may stand in areas that may be splashed with surface water, an occasional wash with clean warm water containing a mild detergent by hand will suffice. More stubborn staining can be removed by careful application of Cif liquid cleaning product by soft brush or soft cloth. Wash down with clean warm water. Always trial a small area before general application over whole product. Care and simple protection during installations in surrounding areas will prevent most staining that occurs with stainless steel items.
