Initiated and organised by Pere Tucker Regional Gallery, Strand Ephemera is held biennially, making 2005 the 3rd event. Each event has benefited from the previous, this year the public program has been expanded, and with more artists, the exhibition can claim to be "bigger and better than ever." Townsville's magnificent Strand will be further enriched by 43 site-specific sculptures by artists from across Australia, including Townsville's favourite artists. Held biennially, this is the 3rd Strand Ephemera, an event eagerly awaited in the cultural program of our city.
