This program can also be found online at www.townsville.qld.gov.au The Townsville City Council have endeavoured to provide a number of activities during the school holidays that assist in the inclusion of children with disabilities or additional needs, children from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds and children from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds. These activities, targeted to young people aged 10-25 and families, aim to remove barriers and provide social opportunities for all children, with the purpose of building capacity and inclusion within the Townsville community. TOWNSVILLE 500 SUPER WELCOME Get ready race fans to meet not one, not two, not three but all V8 Supercars Championship Drivers at this year’s Townsville 500 Super Welcome event at Jezzine Barracks! This is your only opportunity to see all Drivers together before the race begins. Fans can get autographs, pose for photos and also be in the running to win some great prizes! Two Driver signing sessions will occur at 4.30pm and 5.30pm. Remember to get there early as large crowds are expected. HOOKIN2HOCKEY session 1: A beginner program targeted for those who have never played hockey before. They will receive a hockey pack including: a ball, hockey stick, shin pads, mouthguard and an Australia singlet. The session 1 coaching session is with qualified coaches – some have played and coached at state level. A packed lunch will need to be provided for a 30 minute lunch break. The sessions total numbers will be capped at 30 with a coachparticipant ratio of at least 1:8.
