Introduction Townsville City Council has a range of free and low-cost education opportunities available for students of all ages. This document aims to provide an overview of these opportunities in a quick and easy-access format, fitting in to subject and curriculum requirements. Council currently owns and operates two premier galleries, three library branches and two theatre venues, all of which provide unique education opportunities to complement your teaching. Council also provides online learning opportunities through databases, local history resources, and access to websites such as Your Tutor which provide personal tutoring sessions for students. ART-IN-A-SUITCASE Art-In-A-Suitcase is a free, ongoing program that brings local artists into your classroom, engaging primary school students to create artwork that will then be exhibited at either Perc Tucker Regional Gallery or Pinnacles Gallery.
