Who we are Be part of securing the future of Townsville North Queensland For over 30 years, Townsville Enterprise has played a critical role in supporting the progress of the Townsville North Queensland region. As the peak economic development and destination management organisation, Townsville Enterprise has been the lead driver in attracting major investment and growing the visitor economy, contributing to growth in local jobs, improved liveability, and economic benefit for the entire region. Townsville Enterprise was established to and continues to look to the future for North Queensland, encapsulating the regional areas of Townsville, Magnetic Island, Hinchinbrook, Burdekin, Charters Towers and Palm Island. Many of the major regional achievements over the past three decades have been a result of Townsville Enterprise-led and member supported advocacy. Securing the Sun Metals Zinc Refinery, opening of the Galilee Basin, the Townsville Port expansion, construction of Queensland Country Bank Stadium, and attracting major events like the Supercars and Professional Bull Riding (PBR), continue to provide ongoing and long‑term economic benefit and opportunity for local businesses. While Townsville Enterprise may be leading the charge, we cannot operat alone. It is only with the support of our partners and members that we can continue to drive growth in the region.
Our ambition is as large as our region to ensure that the next ‘game changing’ projects for the growth of our economy are realised – just as we have been doing for 30 years, securing the Future for Townsville North Queensland. Our key wins include the attraction of SunMetals, Adani, Townsville Stadium, Port Expansion Project and Hells Gates Dam Funding , just to name a few. We couldn’t have done that without the support and guidance of our members. We look forward having you part of our journey.
