At a recent Storytime, Klaus pulled out transparent mul-
ti-colored scarves from her “bag of tricks” and had the children play peek-a-boo with them. Then, she encouraged the youngsters to bunch them up and pretend there were kernels of corn inside. They shook them until they made “popcorn,” then the scarves were tossed into the air. Later, out came the bubbles. Klaus blew them into the air while the children chased them.
Sarah Turner, of Middletown, the mother of 3-yearold Emma and 4-month-old Abigail, was impressed with Farmers Market Storytime, and the market in general. “I love that it’s part of the farmers market because it allows us to get our vegetables, and it allows the kids to listen to stories,” Turner said. “I love the learning experience all around; buying local, buying fresh, eating See Market, A9

Yellow finches and butterflies often venture into the maze and give visitors an up-close experience with nature.
The sunflowers Over 350,000 yellow and red sunflowers are expected to be in full bloom in the next few weeks. The sunflowers are ornamental, or sterile, meaning they do not produce any pollen.

Lyman said the sunflowers can grow to between five and six feet tall.
When they start their adventure, they can answer trivia questions to figure out what direction to go in. A wrong answer will lead them in the wrong direction, while the right answer will keep them on the correct path toward the exit.

But finally The Sandman came (he probably had a lot of houses to visit, too) and you were catapulted into Dreamland.
