CAPABILITY
The core idea behind Agile Working at Unilever is: All employees may work flexibly – anytime and anywhere in the designated areas – as long as the needs of the business are being met. To support Agile Working, Unilever is implementing new working practices, redesigning office facilities, and investing in new technologies to make our new office such a great place to work. These are the enablers of Agile Working.

What is Agile Working? Agile Working is an approach to getting work done with maximum flexibility and minimal constraints. It puts each of us in greater control over how, when and where we work, and supports individual vitality. There are several benefits of Agile Working: • Improved work effectiveness in our office • Enables “anytime, anywhere” working in the office • Increases capability to manage demands of bigger, broader roles. • Support vitality and diversity • Increases personal empowerment and balance. • Enhances diversity by accommodating people with different needs.
Significant savings • Real estate and travel costs. • Environmental impact (energy, CO2, waste). • Travel time

New Agile Working
New Agile Working A Culture of
Sharing Everyone owns a shared desk. It doesn’t matter if you’re a fixed resident or an agile worker. We share our desk space with one another in our new office. Clear your desk at the end of the day and put your personal things in your locker, keep your area clean and neat for others to use comfortably. Everyone is responsible for keeping our spaces neat and clean. Now, there’s no need to rush to book meeting rooms. Connect Zones and Vitality areas provide us more than adequate spaces to work and meet with each other.
Unilever House Welcome Pack
Agile Workstyles Workstyles help define the way we really work and allow us to use the right facilities and technology to become more effective in our daily work, based on the needs of the job and personal circumstances. This is how we define the way we work:

Those that work form a variety of location such as other Unilever offices (Minburi or Gateway), customer locations, meeting goers or frequent travelers or move around workplace depending on the working activities. Majority of employees will be assigned the Flex seats. These types of staff will also desk share with other team members when they are in the Unilever office or they may typically move to several different zones (Connect Zone) throughout a day to find areas most appropriate for your activities. Spaces are allocated on a first come first serve basis. Of the 65% flexible residents, there are seats available for 90% of the people in their own neighborhood as it is proven that during the majority of the days, not everyone is in-house. They will receive a locker, not personal pedestal.

Those that work at the office most of the time and rarely leave their desks during the working week. Fixed resident also include WL3+ and secretaries. These types of staff will receive an assigned desk with personal pedestal.
