We’re officially giddy with anticipation ahead of the start of the now eight-round 2023 World Triathlon Championship Series (WTCS). As TQ went to press,

World Triathlon confirmed that the Paris Olympic Test event in August will count towards WTCS rankings. The sport’s blue-ribband series opens in Abu Dhabi on March 3 with Montreal (pictured) also returning to the schedule in June. An athlete’s four best results plus the finale in Pontevedra will determine triathlon’s world champions for 2023. Prize money across the WTCS, the Spanish finale and bonus pool, and World Cup racing is up to US$3.48 million, an increase of $520,000 on last year. Triathlon.org
