The collections expanded proposal

The Collections Expanded Proposal Growing on from my first collections proposal I have evolved and expanded on my original concept of using botanical flowers for my collection, from my primary images of botanical flowers study of Queen Victoria and famous painters where I took inspiration from. I have researched natural plant dyes and synthetic dyes, natural fabrics and synthetic fabrics and studied the texture and shapes of the flowers to give me inspiration for my collection. I decided to use natural floral dyes against synthetic dyes and natural fabrics instead of synthetic fabrics as this is Eco friendly and less harmful to the human being. It also supports the artisan in small business against the larger mass producers who are harming the environment and human beings, this promotes sustainability within fashion. I have assessed my progress along the way by doing experiments through bottling up rose petals with ice in a jar and laying out flowers on calico covered in cling film and bashed them with a rolling pin, a hammer is recommended for this method but due to noise pollution I used the rolling pin instead and achieved the same results. I showed the results to friends for feedback so to see if the produce was having an effect and how I could develop further. I also looked to current trends for ideas to further my inspiration and to further my development in the process, and studied other fashion designers who were also environmental friendly.
