4 Daily Computer Headaches Traders Might Be Experiencing and What You Can Do to Fix them Time Is Money in the World of Online Trading There is little to nothing more frustrating that having computer problems in the middle of work an intense workday. For someone using a multi-monitor trading computer, problems are particularly frustrating as the fact is, time is money. Every second counts. While there are other varieties of computer issues that are also problems, it's the major problems with computer hardware and software that are the real headaches. There are four major issues that an online trader can rectify that dramatically reduce the loss of money: 1) Computer crashes in the Middle of Use Computer crashes can be caused by both hard and software issues. If your computer crashes constantly, the first thing to do is run an anti-virus software program on it to find out if your computer is infected. The second thing you and to do is make sure that your processor is sufficiently fast to accommodate the workload you're asking of it. The next thing you want to find out is whether or not you have enough RAM. 2) Overheating A fan cools your computer. So, the first thing you should ask yourself if it is running properly. Begin by cleaning it with canned air. Blow all the dust off, as dust causes friction and friction slows the spinning of the fan. The second thing you want to do is make sure that your computer is not over-clocking. The next thing to try is repairing or replacing the fan as well as the power supply. If that doesn't stop the overheating problem, install case fans. Ultimately, if nothing else works, it's probably best to invest in the best stock trading computer you can buy. You're probably simply demanding too much from the one you own. 3) Slow Response Time Most of the time there are two reasons your computer has a slow response time: too many programs running at the same time or viruses. You should download an anti-virus software package, but you should also check your CPU usage. On a PC, click ctrl+Alt+Delete and look at how many programs are running in the task manager.

4) Slow Start Up Times The first thing you want to do is make sure that you don't have a zillion programs trying to start at the same time if your computer has a slow start up time. Make sure only the ones you need to start immediately are starting. Additionally, run an anti-virus program. Still have the problem, check your BIOs. Ultimately you may need to upgrade your RAM.
