How to make Rhubarb Wine – Rhubarb Wine Recipe – You will need to start with washing the rhubarb, cutting it into 0.5cm pieces. Once this is done, place it in a sterilized bucket, add sugar and stir. Cover with a clean towel and leave for three days. After three days, crush the pulp, add three liters of boiled and cooled water and stir. Now strain it into a second clean container, and add the grape juice concentrate. You will also need to add another 1.25 liters of water. Now add the yeast together with the yeast nutrient.
Cover again with a clean towel and leave like this for a week. Siphon into a clean demijohn and add a bubble trap. After about three to four weeks you will need to “rack” the wine off into another demijohn to dispose all the unclean parts from the bottom which can spoil the wine. Any deficit in the wine should be filled up with sugar syrup (3 parts water and 1 part sugar).
After the fermentation is done you can siphon your rhubarb wine into clean bottles. Rhubarb wine is ready to drink immediately but you can leave it for another week or two to age. So that is your Rhubarb Wine Recipe – enjoy it and share this unique tasting wine with your friends and family! Happy Rhubarb Wine Making :) Art http://ihowtomakewine.com/
