Information On Troubleshooting Printing Machines

ď śPrinting equipment are known to cause problems when you least expect it. However this does not always have to be the case. ď śAn individual who is ready to take care of his printer and properly maintain it will ensure that it does not cause too many problems. He will however need to be in a position to troubleshoot the common problems that may arise.

ď śCommon problems will include a printer not being to turn on. When this happens, check the power cable. ď śThis cable usually runs from the printer all the way to the plug point. Check for loose connections. In case there are intermittent power problems, have the cable replaced.

ď śPaper jams are often experienced by many using printers. When a paper ham occurs, an individual is advised not to try and force the paper out. ď śThis is because attempting to do so could damage the roller. Instead, make sure that any paper being placed in to the device is not folded in any way.

ď śEvery once in a while, an error message may be provided indicating that something is wrong. The error message could be communicated in terms of an alarm or a beeping sound. ď śIf the machine has an LCD display screen, the error message may also be found here. Make sure you follow the provided prompts in order to take care of the problem.

ď śCommunication problems may also arise where the operating system is unable to communicate with the device. ď ś In order to fix this problem, you need to check the cable running from your printer to the computer. It has to be firmly attached at each end.

ď śIn some cases, you might find that there is a misalignment of colors and lines on the print outs. This can be dealt with by checking the printer properties. ď śGo to the options and check out the maintenance options that have been recommended. Follow the instructions to the end.

ď śPoor color quality on a print out is often an indication that something is wrong with your cartridge. This could be because it is running low or because it has not been properly placed. Ensure the toner cartridge is correctly placed so as to deal with the quality problem.

ď śAnother common problem that may be experienced is where a printer returns a blank page after sending a command. ď śThis can be fixed by checking whether the content was blank or not. You should also check the status of your cartridge.
