We are here to support you across all areas of learning, whether you are looking to try a new hobby, upskill in your career or are thinking about returning to education following a break, we can help you to achieve your goal. Ranging from one-day workshops to evening classes and professional certificates, there is no better place to start than. With courses available at one of our colleges, learning centres, online or as part of continued professional development in the workplace, our adult learners can benefit from flexible learning designed to fit around your lifestyle. Invest in yourself and enrol now to secure your place for 2023.
Fee waivers, Advanced Learner Loans and Higher Education Student Loans may be available, depending on your circumstances and the course you have chosen to study.
Many students study for free. The course tables show whether courses are free for eligible learners.
Fees are paid annually for courses longer than one year and the fees in this guide are for the full duration of the course, unless otherwise stated. Many courses are subsidised and we are able to reflect this in our competitive prices.
Please note, as this guide is printed in advance of course starting dates, fees may be subject to change.
If you are worried about other costs involved with continuing your education, we can help. Those who are 19+ and need help with College or course related expenses, such as travel, trips or uniform, have access to a number of different funds.
Learner Support Funding is for adults developing their careers through continued education. We can provide practical help to meet expenses directly associated with learning. Further information about each of these funds can be found on the College website.
If your circumstances change during your studies, there is support available.
• 19+ Learner Support Fund
• Advanced Learner Loan Bursary - only for applicants in receipt of Advanced Learner Loan
• Childcare Funding
• Access to Learning (Higher Education)
Course fees should be paid at enrolment by cash or card. We accept all major credit/debit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Switch and Delta.
Flexible payments can be arranged by Standing Order.
If your employer is paying your course fees you must bring a letter of authorisation from them to enrolment. We will then issue an invoice to them directly for payment.
You need to start your loan application during the enrolment process. Please bring along a current passport if you have one. All 19+ learners need to bring their National Insurance Number to enrol.
Situated in the heart of community with on-site free parking and Cheadle town centre a short 10-minute walk away, our Cheadle campus offers both leisure and hobby courses as well as access to higher education courses. Specialist provision in Social Sciences, Counselling and Nursing can provide the gateway to careers and promotion within the large care sector across Stockport borough, while short courses in everything from British Sign Language to Horticulture allow you to learn something that’s as rewarding as it is new.
Our Altrincham campus is a modern, bright building with the facilities to match and on-site, free car parking. Access by public transport is made easy with tram and bus stops just a 5-minute walk and Altrincham train station close by. From hi-tech, dedicated Apple Mac suites through to traditional photography dark rooms, award-winning catering facilities in our ‘Aspire’ restaurant or industry standard Hair & Beauty salons, it’s just down to you to choose your ideal learning environment. And it’s the same at our Stretford campus with free parking and public transport options available and where you can study in dedicated engineering, motor vehicle, science and computing suites to name just a few.
Situated close to the town centre, our Stockport campus has easy access from bus stops along the A6, is just a 5-minute walk from the train station and is surrounded by local car parking facilities. We have just completed the final stage of a £23m campus redevelopment project which features a University Centre for our Access to HE and Higher Education students as well as industry standard facilities across many of our subject areas from construction to hair & beauty to creative arts.
