n previous years we’ve always had a few models who’ve stood apart from the rest and were hotly tipped to be the winners in their categories, but for 2013 we’ve had such an amazing amount of girls working in our industry that tonight all bets are off. We’ve had a great influx of new girls bringing fresh looks and personalities to our screens and many established models have reached out even further to promote and solidify their position in our industry. I think there will be some surprises in store for this evening. Simply being nominated is an acknowledgement what you are doing has an impact. You are creating your own brand; providing entertainment to the people who enjoy transgender erotica. If providing entertainment or to titillate is your primary objective, then another objective should be to educate, inform, and normalize transgenders not only in the adult arena, but to the mainstream public. While adult entertainment may be marginalized, it can also be the starting point to the wider world of trans-living for many people and I’ve seen a lot of girls and companies cross those boundaries in the last few years.
