Impact of the project in words of Lyla Adwan-Kamara: Manager, Merton Centre for Independent Living

“Added-value training & toolkit has made such a big impact on our fundraising and helped build our reputation .. We now monetise as many of our outcomes as possible and this has without doubt helped us secure funding. We would not have been capturing this info and demonstrating our impact without this training and toolkit . Its now a key part of what we do

Impact of the project “Support, advice and networking opportunities have been really crucial: sharing experiences and learning/ making links with other CEO’s , getting bespoke free training & support that addresses our needs as been so important”

“Emotionally not sure I could have kept going as CEO without the support from PU”

Example of workshops: Harnessing the Power of the Media (Watch the video at the bottom of this web page.)

Feedback, a few months on… “After the workshop, Ruils has issued a press release that was published as a half page article in the local press. Following some comments by a local councillor we also had a letter published which refuted the claim he made.” Richard Kember, Chair, Ruils

Feedback, a few months on… “After the video workshop, we are now in the process of planning and pre-production of our short video to get our organisation's message out to a wider audience! We at Active Plus would like to take this opportunity to thank Power Up for its wonderful informative training.” Des Blake, Chair, Active Plus

Feedback, a few months on… “The “Building your Brand” workshop was extremely useful. I added the speakers to my Twitter feed and I’m in regular contact with Charlene White (ITV journalist). I regularly update our website with new articles which are mirrored on our Twitter and Facebook accounts. This week I’ve posted a fairly complex article on vehicle licensing which deals with the complex legal area of what constitutes hire and reward. In all, I found the workshop to be extremely useful and I’ve already booked to attend the seminars in August. Martyn Bellamy, Business Development Manager, EAST Community Transport
