The offices of the Equality Group were successfully launched in February The space, called ‘Rainbow House’ was launched with a celebratory event on February 28th at the location in Kingston The purchase of the building and the event was made possible by a fund that was put together call the Building Fund that many organisations contributed toward. The selection of the space was done through the collaboration of the organisations under the Equality Group - TransWave Jamaica, the Equality for all Foundation (EFAF) and Equality Youth Jamaica (EYJ)

The event was colourful and filled with numerous community members, staff, funders and other supporters of the LGBTQIA rights movement in Jamaica Former EFAF Executive Director, Jaevion Nelson, aptly hosted the night’s proceedings Some of the most notable guests included Ivan Cruikshank, Board Chairman, EFAF; Renae Green, Executive Director, TransWave; Sean Lord, Senior Youth Programme Officer, Equality Youth Jamaica; Kandasi Levermore, Executive Director, Jamaica AIDS Support For Life; Natalie Campbell-Rodriques, Government Senator and Alex Gainer, USAID Acting Country Representative They all gave congratulatory remarks and showed their support for the strides the Rainbow House represents Other partners and supporters sent their well-wishes via video such as Rupert Abbott, GiveOut UK; Stefan Bollier, Dreilinden and Julie Dorf, Equality Without Borders.
