Site Selection & Lease Negotiation: ANDY ONCALL® will provide you with complete site selection and lease negotiation guidelines in order to help you identify and secure a reasonably priced office space that will meet your needs. Design & Construction: ANDY ONCALL® will show you how to design your office for the most efficient workflow. Usually, very little – if any – construction is needed. Marketing Campaigns: We have developed marketing campaigns which will help you launch your business, gain an immediate market presence and generate customers, all at a reasonable cost.
Operations, SetUp and Customer Service Manuals: The ANDY ONCALL® Operations, SetUp and Customer Service Manuals are comprehensive, yet easy-to-use reference guides, covering in detail every aspect of opening and managing your business. Start-Up Training: First, the franchise owner(s) will train for up to ten days at the ANDY ONCALL® Home Office in Chattanooga, Tennessee. ANDY ONCALL® franchises serve two types of customers: (1) the craftsmen who need our assistance in obtaining work and in managing the business side of performing minor home repairs; and (2) the homeowners who need our assistance in locating a professional, reliable source for getting their minor home repairs completed. ANDY ONCALL® is a customer service organization in the truest sense of the word. We are here to help the craftsmen make money and meet their individual goals, as well as help our customers fulfill their minor repair needs. Q. What sets ANDY ONCALL® apart from the traditional handyman? A. ANDY ONCALL® has introduced a new level of professionalism to this industry. In the days of increasing concerns about security, many homeowners are leery of allowing a stranger into their homes. Knowing they are working with a professional organization relieves the customers’ anxiety. We also offer the homeowner the advantages of approved, qualified and monitored craftsmen, insurance, a one-year warranty and an organization that stands behind its work. When you say “reasonable” working hours, what do you mean? A. This business is structured so that the Franchise Owner and one employee work in the office five days per week. If properly scheduled, these people each work an eight-hour day. We also accept telephone calls by mobile phone after normal office hours and designated Saturday mornings for estimates and obtaining job materials.
Q. What strengths will I need to be successful in this business? A. We are looking for people with the following attributes: Self-motivation; Excellent communication skills; Good organizational skills; Ability to follow-up and follow-through; Listening skills; A person who enjoys helping others; Common sense and judgment; and Flexibility. In addition, basic computer skills or a willingness to learn computer skills. Q. What is the ANDY ONCALL® training program? A. Our thorough training program covers all aspects of starting and operating a successful ANDY ONCALL® franchise. This comprehensive, three-step program includes up to ten days of training at our Home Office in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This training program includes classroom instruction and on-the-job training. This session will cover every aspect of the business, including sales, marketing, operations, craftsmen relations, personnel, bookkeeping, customer relations and administration. Next, we come to your office for up to five more days of training and assistance. This second phase concentrates on recruiting craftsmen, marketing to the public and customer service. Third, our on-going training will help keep you on top of the latest marketing strategies, procedures, training techniques and industry developments. Q. Is there any charge for this training? A. The cost of this training is included in your initial franchise fee. You will be responsible for paying for your travel, lodging and meals for any training conducted in Chattanooga. Q. What type of computer skills will I need? A. ANDY ONCALL® has developed our own proprietary software computer program to assist you in maintaining customer records, craftsmen records, scheduling and reporting.. Only ANDY ONCALL® Franchise Owners have the use of this proprietary software program. Q. What is the term of my franchise? A. The term is ten years with two ten-year options to renew.
Q. How quickly can I open? A. One of the beauties of our franchise program is that you can begin operations in as few as eight weeks after signing the Franchise Agreement. This short start-up period means you can start generating income far more quickly than with most business opportunities. Q. How much does it cost to open an ANDY ONCALL® franchise? A. The initial franchise fee range is from $33,000 to $47,000 based on territory awarded. The Franchisor will finance up to fifty percent of the initial franchise fee for qualified individuals. Including fifty percent of the franchise fee plus $12,000 to $15,000 in working capital and $11,150 to $17,050 for business start up costs, we estimate it will cost from $39,650 to $55,550 to open an ANDY ONCALL® location. Please see the Initial Investment Chart in this package for a complete listing of the estimated expenses. Q. Will I be charged any royalties or service fees? A. Yes. You will pay a five-percent royalty on your weekly net revenues. In part, this royalty helps us cover the costs of providing on-going services. Q.
