“Wings of Wild” Visit to “Chupir Char”, Purbasthali, Burdwan, WB Purbasthali Purbasthali is a village in Kalna subdivision of Bardhaman. It is around 120 KM from Kolkata. Famous holy town Nabadwip is around 8 KM from here.Purbasthali is around 70 km from Bandel on the Bandel-Katwa Branch Line of Eastern Railway.
Chupir Char The oxbow lake of Purbasthali was created by the Ganges River. The 2–3 km long

Birding It was an afternoon during winter of 2013 we reached there after visiting the famous temple town Kalna.
That time we do not had much information of this place. Locals helped us to reach there from Purbasthali station. It was a 15 minutes “Van-Rickshaw” journey. From there we hired a “Desi” boat for birding purpose. Those sailors have enough
