2016 Elegiac Easter Island

When we read a brochure from our favorite travel company (Zegrahm) about a trip along the West Coast of South America, we were intrigued but somewhat dubious until we understood that it would include a side trip to Easter Island. We signed up right away. All those pictures of the grave and pensive moai we had ever seen came flooding back into memory. We wanted to probe the mystery of the island for ourselves, just like so many before us. Human beings can be as curious as cats are supposed to be. We all like a mystery, don't we?
