Holidays at

FRENCH LICK RESORT

If you’ve visited French Lick Resort during the holidays, you know it’s an experience like none other. If you haven’t, put it at the top of your 2022 wish list.

And if you’re the type who loves putting up holiday decorations early and leaving the tree up a few weeks beyond Christmas, French Lick and West Baden are your holiday spirit animal. The magic of the season always lasts a little longer here.

Tree Lighting Ceremonies & Christmas Season

If there’s one day all year that’s a gottasee type of experience at French Lick Resort, it’s the tree lighting ceremony. With two historic hotels on property each with their own tree lightings, you’ve got two chances to catch it.

West Baden Springs Hotel’s tree lighting is Saturday, November 12 and French Lick Springs Hotel follows on Saturday, November 19. Both hotels fill up well in advance for the occasion, so you’ll want to make reservations soon to witness all the

Throughout the rest of the holidays, the little ones can get a picture with Santa on weekends, write a letter to St. Nick with a reply sent home, or make a stuffed buddy at Santa’s toymaker workshop. There’s also story time and cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus.

Even just admiring all the dazzling holiday decorations (which stay up until the second week of January) could be a trip unto itself. From the holiday village and famous gingerbread house on the upper level of the Event Center, to the dozen Christmas trees and half-million holiday lights resort-wide, this winter wonderland is a sight to behold.

festivities: the lighting of the 40+ foot tall trees, the treats, activities, music, and all the other little surprises that get you in the spirit. (West Baden’s ceremony is exclusive to guests staying at the hotel that night, while French Lick’s ceremony is open to the public.) Thanksgiving

No cooking. No dishes. No, you’re not dreaming.

It’s all feasting and all relaxing when you spend Turkey Day at French Lick and West Baden. If you’re in the market for a destination Thanksgiving, French Lick and West Baden have you covered with impressive spreads — both slightly different; each loaded with dozens of tasty options just like you’d have at grandma’s house. Take all that holiday cooking off your plate, and maybe start a new holiday tradition in the process.

There’s more to enjoy, too: Tom the Turkey Run to get your appetite worked up, and Bounce Bash for the kids featuring bounce houses and video games all weekend. And don’t forget Family Photography Weekend, an ideal opportunity to score that professional family photo for the Christmas cards.

New Year’s Eve

When’s the last time you really celebrated New Year’s Eve in style?

Whether it’s a date night for two or more of a party with the whole crew, both of French Lick Resort’s Rio-themed New Year’s celebrations are a spectacle not to be missed. Ditch the PJ’s for the formalwear, and treat yourself to a rock-star New Year’s for once.

At French Lick Springs Hotel, ring in 2022 with a Brazilian-inspired menu, live entertainment and a Champagne toast at midnight. West Baden Springs Hotel’s gala under the iconic dome includes live music and dancing, and a mini dessert buffet before the traditional midnight Champagne toast ushers in the new year.

Plus, while the grown-ups have their fun, kids age 6-17 have their own party to enjoy with food and supervised games and entertainment.
