SHORT BREAK

5 days, ex Delhi Departs daily, except Thursday ITINERARY... Days 1-2 Delhi/Agra India’s capital is pulsing with energy, noise and beguiling aromas. Take the city’s modern metro to bustling Old Delhi, a maze of narrow alleys and fragrant spice markets. Enjoy a guided tour of the area including a visit to the Jama Masjid, which boasts wonderful marble domes and tapering minarets. Snack on the delicious street-vendor food, purchase colourful souvenirs and perhaps enjoy an exciting rickshaw ride around the backstreets. Transfer to Agra and see the splendour of the shimmering Taj Mahal at sunrise - truly one of the world’s great experiences. Afterwards, explore the vast grounds of Agra’s Red Fort. Days 3-4 Jaipur Tour the magnificent deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri. Built in the late 16th century by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, the mosque and palaces were abandoned shortly after his death. This honeycombed, pink sandstone structure is Jaipur’s most distinctive landmark and a brilliant example of Mughal architecture. Take an excursion to Amber Fort, stunningly situated on a hilltop overlooking Maota Lake, and be dazzled by the spectacular Hall of Mirrors. Later, visit the sandstone palaces and kaleidoscopic bazaars of the Old City and grab the chance to catch the excitement of a Bollywood film at the opulent Raj Mandir Cinema. Day 5 Delhi Return to the vibrant city of Delhi and continue to explore at your own pace. The Indira Gandhi Museum and the ruins of Qutb Minar are both worth a visit.
