TERMS & CONDITIONS Please carefully read the following conditions as they form the basis for acceptance of all bookings. GENERAL INFORMATION Product descriptions Descriptions featured are based on current information provided by hotels and suppliers. Any facilities shown as included are subject to change at any time. The standard of accommodation and other services are based on various factors which are generally accepted as indicative of a certain class, however, we do not guarantee the standard, class, or fitness for purpose of that accommodation or service. Hotel ratings are those suggested by relevant local authorities or our representative and may vary from Tourist Office ratings. Prices All prices are subject to change without notice. “From*” prices quoted are the lowest available. Discover Croatia Holidays’ adult twin-share, per person, per night AUD prices are exclusive of any meals unless specified and are available for the specified travel dates only. “From*” prices quoted do not include credit card processing charges as these may vary depending on the payment method chosen. All prices are displayed in AUD. Prices are inclusive of taxes and charges that apply as at the date of publishing, but they do not include any fees that may be imposed directly by third parties. If we have to change any part of your booking for reasons beyond our control, eg, if a hotelier overbooks hotel accommodation, we will notify you as soon as practicable. Late Bookings Bookings made 7 days or less before departure from Australia incur a charge of $50 per booking. Certain products may incur late booking fees more than 7 days before departure or may incur a higher fee. This will be advised at the time your booking is made. Late bookings require a payment guarantee of $200 in order for the request to be generated. Deposits In order to secure a booking, a non-refundable, non-transferable security deposit must be received by us from you or your Travel Agent within 7 days of reservation confirmation. The security deposit is minimum $200 per adult ($100 per child). Certain products require an additional deposit. This will be advised at the time your booking is made. Failure to pay the deposit by the due date will lead to cancellation of your booking. Final Balance Payments The balance of the full itinerary price must be received by us from you or your Travel Agent not less than 45 days prior to your departure from Australia. Final balance for certain products is required at least 100 days before departure. This will be advised at the time your booking is made. Late payment may lead to cancellation and/or late documentation. No documentation or travel vouchers will be issued until payment is received in full. Cancellation Charges (1) Land Arrangements (a) Bookings cancelled at any time after confirmation are subject to the forfeit of the security deposit, including any additional deposits required by suppliers. (b) In addition to this fee are any charges made by the hotel, tour operator, cruise line or other principal. This can amount to up to 100% of total land arrangement costs, particularly when cancelling tours and other arrangements within 60 days of departure. Some provider
cancellation charges may also incur GST. You should check what additional cancellation fees apply (if any) BEFORE paying your deposit. (2) Airfares A cancellation charge, up to 100%, may be applied depending on the conditions of the airfare. Consumer Claims In the unlikely event you might experience a problem, you should immediately contact the company responsible for the provision of that service (transfer/hotel/tour etc) whose number will be printed on your voucher. If you are not satisfied with their response and should you wish to make a claim, your claim should be made in writing to the Travel Agent who made your booking no later than 30 days after your return to Australia. Discover Croatia Holidays cannot be held responsible for delays or rejection of claims by principals if your claim is not made promptly. Amendment Charges Except as stated below, no fee applies for the first amendment or to extend an existing booking before documentation is issued. (a) Air tickets, rail, cruise, or any service where any proposed amendment may be treated as a cancellation. (b) Second and subsequent alterations, excluding extensions or additions after confirmations, will incur a $40 fee per booking and per sector. (c) After documentation is issued a $40 fee for any change will be incurred. Refunds No refund is available for cancellations after travel has commenced or in respect of any tours, accommodation, meals or any other services not utilised. Any valid refund payable will be made net of any applicable fees and charges, including but not limited to merchant transaction fees and cancellation charges levied by either Discover Croatia Holidays or third parties. Unused Services Discover Croatia Holidays does not authorise the employees of any overseas supplier to promise refunds to clients. Extra Service Discover Croatia Holidays and associated representatives overseas will not accept responsibility nor approve requests to pay for additional charges for extra services requested by clients and not included in the basic prices stated in this brochure. It is your responsibility to settle these charges, if any, before departure including parking fines or parking fees incurred when a rental vehicle is used. Prices and Itinerary Changes (1) Prices are based on fluctuating currency exchange rates and are therefore an indication only. They are quoted in Australian dollars and are GST free unless otherwise indicated. (2) Details of particular hotels and holidays described in this brochure may have changed since its release. Changes in airline fares and exchange rates and other changes may also affect the price of particular holidays. You should ask your Travel Agent to check whether such changes have occurred in the price or itinerary BEFORE YOU BOOK and WHEN YOUR BALANCE IS DUE. Every endeavour will be made to advise you of any changes after you book.
(3) Special offers can be withdrawn at any time. (4) The prices quoted by Discover Croatia Holidays are subject to change without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as fluctuation in exchange rates and/ or increases in land and airfare costs, airport charges or government taxes. No surcharges in respect of cost or currency deterioration will be made once full payment for your arrangements has been received. This guarantee does not apply to any taxes, charges or levies imposed by any government or their agencies or to errors or omissions. In exchange for these guarantees no refund will be made if costs are reduced. The entire range of products featured is offered at the selling prices shown on each page but prices printed do not imply that similar product may or may not be available at a lower price if obtained direct. However, payments sent overseas by travellers are excluded from the protection provided by Travel Agent Licensing and membership of the Travel Compensation Fund. Itineraries are subject to alteration if airline schedules are amended, a tour is cancelled by the operator for any reason, or other conditions require it. Istra Hotel Kastel - Motovun
HHH
Hotel Kastel is located atop a 277 metre high hill upon which arose the town of Motovun. On the highest Motovun square, surrounded by medieval walls and preserved structures of the Venetian era, one comes to the ancient town gates and the structure of the Hotel Kastel, located in a palace from the 17th century. The hotel structure, which is one of the tallest buildings on the town square, is an identifiable part of the overall vista of the ancient town. Every stone here tells a story that is at least 700 years old. Hotel Kastel offers accommodation in 33 rooms (3 single rooms, 22 standard double rooms, 3 superior double rooms, 3 exclusive double rooms with balcony, 2 hotel suites) and 1 self standing apartment house “Poli Kastela”. All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, telephone line with possibility of direct dialing, wireless internet connection, bathroom with bathtubs or shower and central heating. Superior double rooms and exclusive double rooms with balcony are air conditioned, and exclusive double rooms have a balcony. From almost every window of the fabulous buildings you have a marvelous view of the landscape of central Istra, Mirna River valley or the famed Motovun vineyards. From dawn to dusk, a family atmosphere, and a perfect view will comfort you. A wellness experience filled with Istra’s energy, its land, herbs, aromas, and tastes. Business meetings in an incredible ambience, with relaxation or activities in nature after work. Renowned Istran cuisine in an authentic restaurant, in a magical garden, or on terraces with Istran scenery. The old stone structure of the Hotel Kastel hides many charming nooks. The delightful hotel cafe is a great place for your morning coffee or an evening rendezvous, while the hall of the hotel gallery, green dining room and spacious hotel terraces offer the option of holding business meetings, cultural events, congresses, seminars, summer schools, exhibitions and other festive programs. Other than the aesthetic value of the hotel, we must point out the excitement waiting for you in your discovery of the gastronomical wealth of this region. The authentic Istrian cuisine offered in the Hotel Kastel, along with a number of original dishes and truffles from the Motovun forest as the pinnacle of gastronomic offering, combined with top class Istrian wine – white malvasia and red teran, guarantees an unforgettable visit to Motovun. rates are per room / per night BB

Bosnia, Montenegro & Slovenia Bosnia and Herzegovina has proclaimed itself the heart-shaped land that lies at the middle of southeast Europe. This small country is an intense mixture of cultures from the ancient monasteries of the Franciscan and Orthodox monks to the heralded bridges and mosques of the Ottoman Empire creating what can only be described as a ‘living museum’.
Hotel Europe - Sarajevo
Montenegro is a small country with an abundant amount of natural beauty. Budva, Centinje and Kotor are the places to see. The city’s layout and monuments of medieval architecture have earned it UNESCO’s World Heritage listing.
Slovenia’s positioning near both Austria and Italy means that many of its cities and towns bear the imprint of Hapsburg and Venetian empires. However, heading toward the Julian Alps you will find that the scenery changes to be more distinctly Bavarian.

M edjugorje In the mountain village of Medjugorje in Herzegovina, the Virgin Mary appeared to six teenagers from the Parish of Medjugorje on June 24, 1981. She appeared on a nearby hill, Crnica (Apparition Hill), several hundred metres above the place called Podbrdo, close to Medjugorje. Many further apparitions followed on the same site. She identified herself as the Blessed Virgin Mary Queen of Peace. Her mission: to promote peace with God and mankind through her son Jesus. The core message of Medjugorje is peace through a range of spiritual actions: faith, prayer, penance, fasting and conversion. The visionaries tell us that a visit to Medjugorje is no accident. The believe that we are individually called to Medjugorje, and that it is truly a life changing experience. Diving – 4 Days/3 Nights Dive in! You will be surprised to find what the Adriatic Sea hides beneath its surface...Rovinj and Vrsar have much to offer beneath the surface of the sea to adventurers seeking new underwater experiences. The beauty of its islets and the reef that runs along its shoreline are just a few of the features that will remain only partially explored if you do not dive into the depths of the sea to uncover the part that is hidden beneath its surface. You will be able to “read” the rich nautical history that is found on the sea’s floor where dozens of sunken shipwrecks tell the stories of the region’s famous naval history. Dive in! You will be amazed...
Diving
Day 1
Day 3
A welcome drink, followed by an introduction to your instructors and a presentation of the characteristics of the sea floor and particular diving routes.
Today is a day for a great diving treat - a dive to the Baron Gautsch wreck, a passenger ship of the AustroHungarian Monarchy, popularly called the ‘Small Titanic of the Adriatic’ that went down August 13, 1914 after triggering an underwater mine. It sank in less than 10 minutes. Today its remains lie on a sandy sea floor at a depth of 40m. The boat is 85m long and 11m wide. Diving is possible on the first and second decks located at 28m and 34m depths, respectively. This dive is exceptionally interesting because the wreck is preserved in its entirety. After dinner, you are in for a distinct night-diving experience at the nearby “Crab Island” that features an extremely rich marine life that decorate this location with their rich colors. The island gradually submerges to a depth of 27m, with its most interesting diving sites at depths of 14 to 15 metres.
Day 2 In the morning, we begin with a dive in the cove. In the afternoon, we will take a boat ride towards Bagnole - an island unique for its caves whose entrance lies at a depth of 5m, and whose exit is in the center of the island. Its rocky labyrinth at a 12m depth and its underwater caves will provide a new dimension to one’s diving experience. Visibility is excellent and diving is possible for all categories of divers.
Day 4 Breakfast is followed by departure.
