Get ready for an epic adventure through Nevada’s Cowboy Corridor. This seven-hour drive along I-80 demands a leisurely pace to fully appreciate the experience with so much to see along the way.

One of the eight towns you’ll encounter on this road trip is Reno. Indulge in delectable Basque cuisine and sample the Picon Punch, Nevada’s unofficial state drink, at Louis’ Basque Corner. And don’t forget to swing by D Bar M Western Store to find the perfect pair of authentic cowboy boots.

Lovelock is home to Lovers Lock Plaza, where you can ‘lock your love’ to a never-ending chain. Then head to Imlay for a visit to the Safe Haven Wildlife Sanctuary. Home to black bears, bobcats, cougar cubs and more, this nationally accredited, non-profit sanctuary spans 320 acres.

Winnemucca awaits with the Martin Hotel, a true Nevada institution since 1898, where mouthwatering lamb shank is prepared in the Basque culinary tradition. Further enjoy the culture at the

Humboldt Museum and the Buckaroo Hall of Fame.

A stop in Battle Mountain at the Cookhouse Museum, housed within an authentic 1920s ranch cookhouse along with a must do meal at The Owl Club Casino & Restaurant; a local favourite, known for its delectable Buckaroo Skillet and exceptional steaks.

Elko, rich in cowboy heritage, hosts the esteemed National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, numerous museums, the legendary J.M. Capriola Co., and over 70 pieces of public art. Lamoille Canyon beckons with wildlife, alpine lakes and lush canyons.

Nature lovers will revel in the tranquility of Angel Lake, a retreat beloved by hikers, photographers, and wildlife enthusiasts alike. Angel Lake welcomes visitors from May to October.
