Hello.
Here we are again. We’ll try and be a bit more inclusive, after the logo special last time. So, we’ve got branding, websites, html email, invites, large format and even a interactive map. Is that varied enough? Let us know what you think, send a message to info@travisbead.com Hope you enjoy it.
Re-Brand? We like re-branding projects. Usually companies that do this have been around a while, have settled into their businesses and feel that they’ve changed considerably since start-up. Either there has been a focus, managerial or cultural shift that provokes them into reconsidered their image . As the “Gapgate” affair recently highlighted, this is not a task to enter into lightly. You need to do it well, comprehensively and above all believe in the results. They chose an agency whose specialism wasn’t branding, dribbled the new logo out just to the website and not all their other channels, and the moment people started criticizing immediately backtracked. Was this an elaborate marketing stunt? I suppose we are all talking about it, so maybe it was an attempt to boost visibility and drive sales. Did it work, the tills will tell. But, does this bode well for designers out there that deliver quality results week in week out? Are we devalued by this stunt? Will companies choose to be adventurous with their re-branding, if they are scared of being shot down in social media flames? This could be a seminal case in branding, where the client is not the commissioner of the project, but several million twitter and facebook users. If you are thinking of rebranding, get in touch, we’ll help you get the right kind of reactions.

SpendLocally Spend Locally - Local Vouchers Local companies advertising local offers to local people, that’s the idea. The branding idea was just that too. In keeping with local walking signage, normally blue and white, we’ve used the classic “Transport” font also. The idea is to roll this out as shopfront stickering, etc...

Percival Woodford - Pearl Jewellery In conjunction with our excellent developer friends at Neon Horizon, this week we launched the Percival Woodford site. Quite possibly the best place to buy pearls from in the UK. The site is fully ecommerce ready and the images are stunning. Take a look at the site at www.percivalwoodford.co.uk

See you again soon. Apologies and Thanks In the last issue of Be, we meant to credit a few collaborators, but in the excitement of getting it out, this was unfortunately missed. We are very sorry. So a big thank you to the clever marketing people at Laan Associates for choosing to work with us on the Silvertec branding refresh and Solaveil, to HLB Creative Solutions for the Libertine Spirits project and to Busy Growing for commissioning the John’s Boat Works and Amber Photographics.
