Thank You for the Biscuits!

My father, Rev. Willis M. “Doc” Horton, preached and lived the gospel for over 60 years. Always ready to encourage preacher and layman alike, he literally gave himself to the call of God on his life.

I, of course, love him and honor him as my father, but I also respect him as a true man of God and minister of the gospel. His years of service through the institutions of the Church of God (Cleveland, TN), Rhema Bible Training College, and his own ministry—Doc and Jeri Horton Ministries—speak for themselves. He and my mother literally travelled all over the world proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ everywhere they went.

Maybe equally important, they lived the gospel they preached in their daily lives in front of my sister and me. They demonstrated faith and lived love. Their lives and ministry are the foundation stones upon which God has allowed me to build upon in my own ministry. This second edition of “Thank You for the Biscuits!” is published in loving honor to a life well–lived and a job well–done.
