Aspire and INSPIRE To Show Mercy This New Year! Meet Jake. As a 6 week old puppy he was terribly abused and abandoned in a park to die alone. He was left with broken legs, broken spine, dislocated hips and much more. Many said to put him down - it would be easiest. Our family adopted him and took over his care soon after. It has been a difficult year dealing with multiple surgeries and almost full time care for him, but his spirit never wavered. He never stopped just wanting to be a “normal” dog and play with his kids and the other pets. Through the mercy of those that would not give up on him, he is a happy, loving little guy! He has a long road to go, but the inspiration he gives me and our family is invaluable. I wanted to share this story to inspire you to show mercy to all of God’s creatures. Jake has a Facebook page with over 1,000 people from all over the world that follow his story. That’s amazing to me! I get messages daily telling he how his story has inspired them to adopt a special needs dog, or keep going when they themselves are fighting a disability, or a young girl who was abused herself and Jakes story made her see that life can get better. One silly little dog made a difference.
