For a modest fee, visitors can enjoy the following activities year round: fishing, boating, hiking, picnic areas, mountain bike and horse trails, canoe and rowboat rentals, ball fields, and playgrounds.

Directions From 485 exit onto Providence Road towards Waxhaw – When in Waxhaw turn left after crossing the Rail Road Tracks. Bear right at split (Follow Brown Directional Signs to CANE CREEK PARK) onto Old Waxhaw Monroe Rd – turn right onto Providence Road South and Proceed approx 3 miles. Cross Hwy 200 (Lancaster Highway) Proceed approximately 2 miles and turn left on Harkey Road to access the Day Use Entry Area. Approximately 7 miles from Downtown Historic Waxhaw.

Miniature golf and pedal boats will remain open on weekends from the second weekend in September to the second weekend of October on a reduced schedule. For larger events, the park offers a festival area, equipped with water and electricity, and not to mention great views of the lake. Many organized events such as running events & the Scottish Festival hold their meets and festivals here for all to enjoy and participate Cane Creek Park is a family oriented, water based recreation facility encompassing 1,050 acres of land surrounding a 350-acre trophy bass lake. This makes for a naturally scenic environment for a variety of outdoor activities and peaceful relaxation year round. All recreation facilities at Cane Creek Park are centered around the lake, and when you think of water, thoughts turn quickly to swimming and fishing. In addition to its sandy life guarded beach, Cane Creek Park is one of only three trophy bass lakes in North Carolina. The lake is home to some of the best large mouth bass fishing in the state as well as bluegill, crappie, and catfish. Appropriate North Carolina State Licenses are required. Licenses can be purchased in the Day Use Area entry office on the day of your arrival. Horse riding enthusiasts are also welcome. For a nominal fee and proof of Coggins the horse rider can ride hours on the many trails in either the day use side or the camp ground side of the park. The trails skirt the Lake and pass natural streams that intermingle for hours of riding fun.
