Free drop in kid’s foot health clinics at Bob & Lulu

Specialist children’s shoe store Bob & Lulu on Ashley Road is partnering with podiatrist Amy Maclean, to run free drop in clinics to raise awareness of the importance of foot health. Details of upcoming sessions can be found on Facebook.

Parents can bring their children to the 20 minute appointment to chat with Amy and to get professional advice on any foot concerns or issues. As well as the free clinic, Amy and Lisa will host an Instagram live to address any concerns from parents on their little ones’ foot health and answer some of the most commonly asked questions.

2021 Banchory Bangle design revealed

The annual Children 1st Banchory Bangle fundraiser is back for the 44th year running. Designer Dr Malcolm Appleby MBE FRSE commented, ‘The 2021 Banchory Bangle was inspired by our ginkgo trees and their falling leaves, their wonderful colours and varying shapes as they fall to the ground. Our natural world is so important for children’s well-being and for the health of future generations.’

Since the Banchory Bangle began in 1977 the Children 1st Deeside Committee have raised over £170K to support children and families across Scotland. Tickets for the draw cost £1 each and are available from local shops in Banchory or online at children1st.org.uk/banchorybangle
