VARIATIONS & MECHANISM

VARIATIONS

Zig-Zag Iteration

The bridge folds in a zig-zag formation. This requires more joins in the bridge, as well as structural material to create the effect.

Folding Iteration

This iteration requires 3 identical structural components. Initially stacked on top of one another, to gradually fold out gaining access to walk across the bridge.

CHOSEN VARIATION

Tension Iteration

This iteration flows seamlessly through the use of tension. Using a tightening and loosening mechanism. The above method has been used in the design process. Represents freedom and clarity.
