TRESOR PARIS

THELONDON

GRACES

CATWALK AFTER the great success of 2011, it was time for Tresor Paris to take further pioneering steps forward. With the brand already an established and sought after jewellery range on the high street, it was time for Tresor Paris to announce itself to the high-end market. What better way than to showcase the brand’s new collection than at London Fashion Week. The launch of the Saturne, Bellatrix and diamond collections at Birmingham’s Spring Fair trade show had been well received by the jewellery industry while the magazines were already clamouring for an exclusive. With only a week after Birmingham, it was time for Tresor Paris’ debut on the fashion catwalk. Tresor Paris decided to collaborate with American, British based designer Corrie Nielsen. Corrie obtained a First Class BA Honours degree in Fashion Design Womenswear at Central St Martins, then went on to work in bespoke tailoring then, at legendary fashion designer and icon Vivienne Westwood for six years before launching her own eponymous label. Lauded in the press,

Corrie Nielsen has been featured in top print, digital and televised media throughout the Americas, East Asia and Europe. Described as a modern couturier and fashion visionary, she is consistently talked about being a major influence on the fashion world. Being very passionate about her Scottish roots, Corrie’s last showing at London Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2012 collection was dedicated to her great, great, great grandmother, who emigrated from Scotland to America around the time of the Revolutionary War. So this season again, Corrie’s theme and influence was Scottish highland, only this time she dedicated her Autumn/Winter 2012 collection to her great, great, great, grandfather John Burns. In order to capture the essence and feel of the Scottish highlands, Corrie felt she needed a jewellery brand that would compliment her collection. In choosing Tresor Paris, Corrie found the perfect way to express her tartan and gothic style with the array of designs and coloured crystals Tresor Paris

could offer her. Using pieces including ‘Champagne’ consisting of pearls and silver from our Cygnus collection as well as Tresor Paris’ statement pieces ‘Mayenne’ with five rows of white-grey crystals the collaboration was a great success and introduced Tresor Paris to the world of high-end fashion.

t’s been yet another great month for Tresor Paris as our beautiful jewellery was spotted sparkling on celebrities and TV personalities alike. The American Rap star Mann was in London at the video shoot for the new single in collaboration with Lucien Laviscount, the two stars were both sporting our fabulous Tresor Paris jewellery with pride. It seems Tresor Paris have become the ultimate ‘must have’ accessory for an abundance of musicians, including UK rapper Young Don and rising star Bobii Lewis, with the new collection making star appearances in their latest video. Tresor Paris has been a huge hit overseas too. Ex world champion David Haye was papped wearing his Tresor Paris bracelets at the heavily publicised press conference in Germany. David was wearing two Tresor bracelets from the Triton collection; it would seem that Tresor Paris is the winning choice. Over on the small screen the Congolese, R&B singer-songwriter and dancer Mohombi has now gone solo after the fantastic success he had with the group Avalon. Mohombi is currently over in the UK promoting his latest single and recently popped into the famous T4 studios for a chat whilst wearing his Tresor Paris bracelet, which was aired Beautiful Jewellery should be worn by beautiful women and for Valentine’s Day this year we had the gorgeous women on our airways sharing their love for Tresor Paris. Charlie on Kiss FM, Vanessa on BBC London and Pandora on Choice FM were all busy tweeting about their beautiful Tresor Paris Valentines bracelets they received on the day. Another celebrity favourite of ours here at Tresor Paris is the lovely Simon Webbe, he was busy doing his bit for charity by supporting the Afro Caribbean Leukemia Society and appeared on Family Fortunes with his own family to raise money for the worthy cause. Unfortunately his family lost but they did make a great effort! The guys and gals of Geordie shore were once again on MTV making lots of noise and causing more mayhem in Newcastle, with the cast wearing their bracelets with pride! Being loyal Tresor Paris fans from the beginning we were pleased to see the bracelets still making such a great appearance.

ello and welcome to our 6th edition of Tresor Paris News. Every time I write the editors notes, I always feel proud to mention all the activities and events we are involved in. As I mentioned in last months editors notes, our first major event this year was Spring Fair at the NEC, Birmingham. With the success of International Jewellery Show London (IJL 2011), we were all looking forward to another successful event - Being ‘The Original’ and the celebrity brand, people were expecting something special from Tresor Paris and we did not disappoint. The Tresor Paris stand was designed with elegance and sophistication in mind, which represented the brand perfectly and as an added touch, our Tresor Paris bus was brought in and featured as part of the stand. Perfect! This time we had the pleasure of Wolverhampton Wanderers captain and England midfielder Karl Henry. Karl was only too happy to come along and show his support to the brand as well as get an exclusive look at our new collections. It has been our aim to grace the catwalk of the world’s most renowned fashion event on the calendar. We decided to collaborate with American, British based designer Corrie Nielsen for our debut. As we sat back in our front row seats waiting for the show to begin, I looked around and thought to myself “look how far the brand has come. You can read the review of the show in this issue pages 8 & 9. Being accustomed to partying with the stars, it was a privilege to be invited to teen queen Dionne Bromfield’s 16th birthday party. It was a great evening (even though I felt quite old!); actor Lucien Laviscount, choreographer Sissco and the beautiful Pixie Lott, all in attendance. It has been a very successful start to the year – with new and exciting things to look forward to. I just can’t wait to let you know. But I guess you’re going to have to wait until our next issue! Happy reading. Enjoy!

Did you know? • The name Easter owes its orgin from Eastre, the Anglo-saxon goddess who symbolizes hare and egg. • Easter is now celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon, which happens on or after March 21. • Easter always falls between March 22nd and April 25th. • Pysanka is the official term used for the practice of Easter Egg painting. • The giving of eggs during Easter time has been tracked back to Egyptians, Persians, Gauls, Greeks and Romans as they believed it was a symbol of new life.

Sunday THE first day of the show was met by an arctic freeze. The Jewellery Show exhibitors eagerly awaited visitors but there were few. Birmingham was under a blanket of dazzling white snow but that did not stop Tresor Paris from dazzling our exhibition visitors with some ice of our own! The promise of new designs was too much for our stockists and potential stockists to resist! The heat was on as our Sales Executives had appointments booked throughout the day with every client attending. The spectacular exhibition stand caught their eye as soon as they arrived - The Tresor Paris bus sat proudly at the heart of it! Whilst the sudden frost and snow threatened to ruin the show the warmth of the Tresor Paris team was central heating in itself!

Monday TRESOR PARIS’ Business Development Director, Sal Hasbani, noted that over the past 10 years the Spring Fair had never been so quiet yet the low turnout was not felt at the Tresor Paris stand. Visitors were entertained by our two gold and silver living statues and by the music being

The Spring Fair

Wednesday

Thursday

OUR fourth day at the show kicked off to a good start with the arrival of our special guest England footballer Karl Henry. The Wolverhampton Wanders Captain swapped the football pitch for the Tresor Paris exhibition stand when he and his wife came to see the new collections. Henry also took the time to sign autographs and was charming to visitors and the Tresor Paris team alike. The Spring Fair organisers interviewed the football legend in the making and found out what he thought about our fabulous new designs! He was delighted to leave with the classic ‘Marcilly’ 13-ball magnetite bracelet and a fantastic new bracelet that took our winning combination of Tresor Paris crystals and Tibetan cord to a premiership level!

WHILE other exhibitors wound down fearing the predicted snowfall – the party on the Tresor Paris bus and stand continued! The Tresor Paris team were still going – running on the sheer excitement of having such a successful time at the show! Tresor Paris was in no rush to leave as our Sales Executives revealed more imaginative new designs to potential clients and exhibition visitors, which included another special guest MLS soccer star Luke Rodgers of the New York Red Bulls! Birmingham born Rodgers certainly ended our show on a high; Tresor Paris Sales Director Mark Martyn described our achievements at this year’s Spring Fair as “Absolutely brilliant – perfection!”

A sweet

for

or many young girls your 16th birthday is the first of many significant birthdays to come, and for one special young lady this was a day full of memories, as the crowds gathered outside Notting Hill’s Supperclub to celebrate the 16th Birthday of Dionne Bromfield. The Soul singer was joined by family, friends and celebrity guests who showered the birthday girl with gifts and attention. Tresor Paris joined Dionne at her belated birthday bash and did not come to the party empty handed! For Dionne’s landmark birthday Tresor Paris presented her with a jewellery set from the new SS12 collection – the gorgeous lilac ‘Arlanc’ bracelet and matching earrings. The stunning bracelet is made up of 8mm crystal spheres, making it perfect for a delicate wrist. The birthday girl was delighted to receive her present which also included a limited edition ‘Je t’aime’ pink crystal heart bracelet from the ‘St. Valentine’s Collection’. Dionne looked every bit the party girl in her 60’s inspired sequin

mini dress and hair styled in loose curls. She wore a pair of t-bar wedges - an ideal choice for a night of dancing. To finish off her outfit Dionne put on her new ‘Neptune’ bracelet and hit the dance floor! Tresor Paris had a great time at the fabulously fun bash. There were plenty of treats for party guests to enjoy – candy floss, popcorn and a chocolate fountain were all on the menu. If you didn’t have sweet tooth you could tuck into mini hamburgers and fish and chips in little cones. The feast certainly gave the party guests energy – the dance floor was packed from start to finish! Hovering over the dancers’ heads – a huge golden 16 balloon! As the night continued some lucky guests received something better than a party bag – Bajan band Cover Drive all admired their new Tresor Paris bracelets. Their lead vocalist, Manda, had wowed guests earlier, when she opened the party with a song for Dionne. Select models, Jenna Roberts and Charlotte Burgon, couldn’t wait to show off their new bracelets to their friends. An immaculately dressed Pixie Lott rocked up fashionably late. She was just in time to receive a new Neptune collection bracelet and start celebrating Dionne’s birthday in style. Tresor Paris were happy to add some sparkle to everyone’s night - wcouldn’t believe what a perfect match the black and white crystal ‘Franchesse’ was with Pixie’s black, silver sleeved dress! As the night went on party goers, including Waterloo Road and Coronation Street actor, Lucien Laviscount, enjoyed dancing to the 90’s old school R’n’B tunes. The crowd got really excited when Dionne took the stage and gave an incredible impromptu performance. The “Spinnin’ for 2012” singer amazed the audience with her powerful voice as she dueted with UK rapper Bigz. She too was serenaded as the crowds sung Happy Birthday to a smiling Dionne. Tresor Paris can’t wait to see what 2012 has in store for Amy Winehouse’s God Daughter, who is signed to the late singers Lioness Records – Dionne is just 16 and she’s already a dazzling success!

Dionne Bromfield is the life and soul of her 16th Birthday Party!

The Boys in Blue visit Tresor Paris

Tresor Paris NEWS April / May 2012 7

Blue Boys in their Tresor Paris Bling!

TRESOR PARIS had the boys in blue knocking on our showroom door. No, we don’t mean the police, we mean the boy band Blue! Members Simon Webbe and Duncan James came to say hello. Simon and Duncan make up half of the hit making boy band that began back in 2000. Their fans were delighted when, after splitting in 2004, they announced in 2009 they were reforming. Now that Simon, Duncan, Lee and Antony have brought Blue back they’ve won over a whole new audience of fans as well as those who remember their first single “All Rise.” Last year Blue were everywhere, they represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest coming 11th. They also performed at the 60th Anniversary of Miss World which Tresor Paris also made an appearance at, accessorising the swimwear section of the pageant. The guys have more to offer us yet as they are busy working on their new album and will be releasing a brand new single soon! The guys arrived at the showroom with Simon’s glamorous girlfriend Maria Koukas. They were all eager to see Tresor Paris’ new Spring Summer 2012 collections. Simon and Duncan had come straight from rehearsals at the famous Pineapple Dance

Making

Studios. Simon told us they were gearing up for Blue’s upcoming ‘Greatest Hits Tour ‘in Asia which would take them to Singapore and Malaysia. Now they had their dance moves sorted, they wanted to look their best so Tresor Paris was their next stop! We wanted to make sure that the boys would shine on stage so we gave Simon a glittering array of colourful Tresor Paris stud earrings. Soon after we saw him on All Star Family Fortunes looking great in an open collar white shirt and black suit accessorised with our deep blue crystal earrings. Blue by name blue by nature! The Webbes didn’t win the game but Simon’s family certainly won over the audience. It was Duncan’s first time visiting the Tresor Paris showroom and he had his eye on something really special. He had seen Simon’s limited edition magnetite cross necklace and wanted one of this own. To complete the look he chose a great crystal and agate bracelet from the new Saturne collection; the use of black cord in the two pieces work perfectly together! Maria could see how pleased the guys were with their new jewellery, we could tell too – they wore them out of the showroom! The Blue boys were definitely ready to hit the town; the Tresor Paris pieces certainly set off their outfits. The contrast of Simon’s new red ‘Saint Remy’ crystal studs and his pink hoodie looked fantastic. Duncan had his dark grey magnetite cross on full display with his chunky knit cardigan open. We wish the boys well on their tour and can’t wait to see them and hear them again – we’re looking forward to the new album!

or some Monday is not the best day as it’s the first day of the working week. But at Tresor Paris, it’s always a perfect day and to make it extra special we had none other than Grime superstar Tinchy Stryder pop into our Hatton Garden showroom to say hi. The MOBO award winner has been seen everywhere lately wearing his Tresor Paris jewellery so taking time out of his busy schedule just shows how much he loves our brand. As he stepped out of his high spec vehicle two eager fans wanting an autograph and photo to

commemorate their special moment approached him. On entering the showroom Tinchy, real name Kwasi Danquah III, made a beeline for the men’s bracelet section where he got a glimpse of the new A/W 2012 collection. Tinchy is a huge fan of Tresor Paris’ necklaces; having previous had the ‘Lourdes’ necklace, Tinchy could not resist a new Lourdes as well as the one piece ‘Le Pas’ necklace to add an extra bling to his swagger. Tinchy, who has just released new single Bright Lights, featuring the beautiful Pixie Lott, can be seen wearing his Tresor Paris ‘Lourdes’ necklace as well as his ‘Sure’ and favourite ‘Ranes’ bracelet. As well as the single with Pixie Lott, the rapper is also collaborating with label mate teen queen Dionne Bromfield. Both Pixie and Dionne who are also fans of the Tresor Paris brand were recently both seen at Dionne’s 16th birthday party to which Tresor Paris was also invited. Just before leaving, being the celebrity he is, Tinchy was on hand again to pose and sign autographs for a few adoring female fans. The single ‘Bright Lights’ ft. Pixie Lott is out now and available to download on iTunes.

LONDON FASHION WEEK K 8 Tresor Paris NEWS April / May 2012

TRESOR PARIS hits the London Fashion Week Catwalk accessorising the Corrie Nielsen AW12 Show. This year Tresor Paris team were awaiting the arrival of London Fashion Week with bated breath. The fashion forward brand has always been passionate about design but there was added excitement as February’s event hailed Tresor Paris’ London Fashion Week debut! As the doors opened at Somerset House, London’s fashion press, designers, and bloggers all flocked to see the must have styles of AW12. On the show’s opening morning, Corrie Neilson’s AW12 collection would be revealed. The accessory of choice for the fashion visionary – the most sought after jewellery of the moment, Tresor Paris. Central Saint Martins graduate Corrie Nielsen’s highly anticipated show was not to be missed. The Fashion Fringe 2010 winner, known for her sculptural tailoring, this year brought a new element to her design style the influence of her Scottish heritage. The American designer’s great great great grandfather, John S. Burns, emigrated from Scotland to America during the time of the Revolutionary War and she dedicated the show to him and her grandmother, Tollie Burns. The show took its name from the 1842 seminal book of Scottish dress, ‘Vestiarium Scoticum’ - tartan, kilts and Victorian influenced detailing took centre stage at the show. Continuing to play with ideas of old with new, Nielsen chose to accessorise with contemporary jewellery which embodied timeless glamour. Tresor Paris brought our elegant Cygnus collection, new Neptune pieces and new Saturne collection to the runway. The beautiful jewellery’s spheres of magnetite, crystal and pearl added texture and colour which

TRESOR PARIS PG 8 & 9.indd 2

accentuated the collection’s noble style. From my front row seat I could see the ‘Toulon’ magnetite bracelet glistening in the light of the photographers’ camera flashes. Its steely glow invoked the atmospheric stormy grey skies of many a Victorian novel as it gleamed under a fitted full-length black sleeve. Nielsen’s exaggeration of traditional high collared and pleated necklines gave them a contemporary twist. They were balanced perfectly with modern pencil skirts in red tartan and classic black. Another beautiful reinvention came in the form of a Royal Stewart tartan kilt with a delicate black lace trim and polka dot overlay. Teamed with a sheer black loose polka-dot shirt the outfit clashed with striking intent. As the daywear look hit the runway the freshness of the outfit was heightened by ‘Vence’ bracelet. Five rof the smooth freshwater pearls and 18ct white gold plated bracelets were layered for maximum impact. The purity of the delicate pearls, strung on white Tibetan cord, perfectly complimented the soft look of the twist-cut monochrome tartan trousers and loose cream sash top. The Scottish Heritage inspired collection’s red, black and white pallet was emphasized by the fragile whites, fiery reds and glimmering greys of the Tresor Paris jewellery. The red crystal burst of the ‘Pezenas’ Mercury collection bracelet was seen at the pinnacle of the show. The fierce red crystals of the single sphere bracelets glimmered enticingly at the centre of the voluminous deep-purple Duchess silk cape – the breath-taking piece that closed Nielsen’s show. The collection evokes not only traditional Scottish dress but also the atmosphere of the countries landscape and climate. Tresor Paris was delighted to be involved with such a fantastically realised collection and add a touch of sparkle and magic to Nielsen’s designs. The Tresor Paris team who attended the show went back stage to congratulate Corrie on its success. We have no doubt this will be the first of many London Fashion Weeks where Tresor Paris is seen on the wrists of models and guests alike!

Name: Suki Johal Position: Accounts Administrator Tresor Paris being the glamorous and celebrity focused fashion brand there is a lot that goes on in terms of press events, celebrity meetings and parties but there is also a huge amount that goes on behind the scenes at the all important show room which is an absolutely imperative part of our brands success. So we interviewed our lovely Suki Johal, who has been part of the Accounts team at Tresor Paris since it first begun. Being such a hard working, valued member of the team we asked her a few questions about life at Tresor Paris; How long have you been working at Tresor Paris? I have been working with the company for seven years, and have been working within the industry for the past seventeen years. So a very long time! What do you like most about the jewellery business? I’m fascinated with the sparkling jewellery, and I love seeing new designs come to life. What are the highlights of your job role? I find my role very challenging, which I love as no two days are the same! I like the fact everyday is different, interesting and demanding in a good sense. My experience within

the industry really helps me to have productive input into the development of the company, and seeing us go from strength to strength is very rewarding. Where do you see yourself in five years time? I see myself having a more managerial role as the company grows in size, I would like to manage a team of people and teach them everything I know. What do you think of the Tresor Paris brand? I think the brand is beautiful and I absolutely love all of the different colours and varieties. Especially being Asian, the colours compliment a lot of our outfits. How do you see Tresor developing as a brand? We’re forever coming up with new and fresh ideas to make sure we have innovative designs that appeal to our market. I know we will continue to grow and I’m excited to see what the future holds for Tresor. Many celebrities have come into the Tresor office, who are your favourites? Duncan from Blue came in the other day, I felt too star-struck to go and talk to him! But I’d really love it if Adele came in as she has such an amazing voice and our jewellery would definitely suit her.

Tresor Paris on the move... WITH our ticket purchased we were all ready to ride on another exciting trip on the Tresor Paris bus as once more it took to the high ways of England and set off on tour. For its first stop of the tour for the Tresor bus was the Spring Fair at the NEC Birmingham. What a time was had there, not just by Tresor Paris but for all who came to see us. This year we had our stand built adjacent to the Tresor Bus. The stand was amazing and with the added extra of Tresor Bus the stand was a sight of wonderment. Having read and heard all about the bus and

Tresor Paris Newspaper Pg 10.indd 1

now finally having it parked before them the customers and friends were taken aback at how stunning the bus truly is both inside and out. The on board bar was also open for business and the famous Tresor Paris cocktails were again being sipped by many, for that we have to thank our wonderful barman. The bus was such a smash at the Spring Fair it has been requested by many of our stockist,

all wanting the bus to make a visit to their store. First though it had to continue on its journey to the next stop, Middlesbrough and to Market Cross Jewellers. Having been a stockist of Tresor Paris for almost a year Market Cross was one of the first to carry the range. With their valentine’s Promotional day taking place, Tresor Paris had sent the bus to Middlesbrough to help with the promotion of the limited edition Tresor valentines range

and our existing collection. This proved to be a massive success and there was more fun and sales that could have ever been expected on this fun filled day. As you can see from the photos the bus was packed and the shop busy. From the feedback from their customers the limited valentine’s line was a great addition to the Tresor collection. The Tresor Paris bus now has a very busy schedule for 2012 so look out for where it’s parked next!

All aboard! Fun on the Tresor Paris Bus in Middlesbrough

‘‘D iamonds are a girl’s best friend 12 Tresor Paris NEWS April / May 2012

MARILYN MONROE is one of the most recognized and loved icons in the world, and still over thirty years after her death her name is as popular as ever. Marilyn Monroe, formally known as Norma Jean Mortenson, has won the hearts of millions for decades and her legacy will remain to live on. Remembered and loved for her trade mark platinum blonde hair, beauty spot and famous skirt-blowing scene in The Seven-Year Itch, the glamorous icon is the perfect Hollywood star to link to our sparkling new ‘Andromeda’ collection; Its seamlessly elegant design mesmerizes us with its white and grey crystal covered spheres, and its contrasting black agate believed to attract good fortune and increase clarity. The complimenting yet contrasting sparkle of the stones alongside the black agate entice and allure us into a sense of lavish luxury and deep sophistication that we are drawn

‘‘

towards. Just like Marilyn, whose directors and photographers immediately recognized her ability to capture and hold the attention of anyone, the Andromeda collection is the perfect combination of intense glamour and elegance to pair with the unforgettable star, who to this day remains to captivate us.. It’s no secret Marilyn lived for the finer things in life and being famous for wearing Chanel No.5 and even bathing in it! ‘A few drops of No.5 and nothing else’, is what Marilyn used to describe her love for her favourite luxury perfume. She adored luxurious jewellery and clothes and even won ‘The best friend a diamond ever had’ award from The Jewellery Academy in 1953. Marilyn Monroe was famous for many different attributes and especially famous for singing ‘Diamonds are a girl’s best friend’ in 1953 in the film ‘Gentlemen prefer blondes’. Monroe’s rendition of the song is considered an iconic performance and has been copied by many other singers and entertainers. Throughout the famous song Monroe expresses the desires and thoughts of many women alike, ‘I prefer a man who lives and gives expensive jewels’, The ‘Cristot’ bracelet

Marilyn showing off her diamonds, ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’

Marilyn sings, ‘Diamonds are a girls best friend’

would be the perfect bracelet for Marilyn Monroe whilst she performed this song as it exudes the glamour and luxury that Marilyn has become known for. Whether it’s for a gift or a treat for yourself a Tresor Paris bracelet is an essential part of any woman’s jewellery collection. Here at Tresor Paris we agree with Marilyn that Diamonds really are a girl’s best friend’, and that’s the way it will always be. It takes years for a perfect diamond to be found and formed, so giving a diamond as a gift is gesture to show true love. Tresor Paris’ beautiful Andromeda collection is the perfect choice for any diamond lover, and a popular choice being the Fraisse bracelet. The bracelet being delicately hand finished and perfectly formed of eleven grey crystal spheres and six black agates, set with black diamonds. This bracelet is not only a stunning piece to wear but has advantages beyond its beauty. Believed to attract good fortune and increase clarity a Tresor Paris bracelet ticks all boxes and more. Marilyn Monroe passed away in her home in 1962 under controversial circumstances, but regardless to this her amazing achievements and contributions have inspired musicians, writers and artists such as Madonna, Elton John, Lady Gaga and Andy Warhol to name a few. Marilyn Monroe’s timeless glamour and striking character have made her one of the world’s greatest icons and her legacy will live on with the help of the beautiful Andromeda collection.

A Tiger’s Eye VS The Purple Haze

AMETHYST and Tiger Eye are two beautiful semi precious stones, both carrying amazing properties of their own. The two contrasting stones are an incredibly popular choice and due to Tresor Paris’ huge success with the launch of the beautiful Amethyst bracelets, they are in incredibly high demand. Tresor Paris are very excited to incorporate both stones into the Orion and Neptune collections coming soon, with a special Tiger Eye collection aimed at Tresor Paris’ Les Petits range. Amethyst is a semi-precious stone and the purple variety of quartz. It’s the most valued and adored member of the quartz family, the Amethyst is known striking for its healing purple properties and used color for meditation making it an extremely

Tresor Paris Newspaper Pg 12.indd 1

An insight into two beautiful semi precious stones! luxurious and glamorous stone of royalty and has been for many thousands of years. The Greeks believed Amethyst could prevent intoxication, whilst medieval European soldiers wore amethyst amulets as protection in battle. There are different shades of Amethyst stone, varying from light violet, to lavender, Mauve and deep purple. The depth of purple completely depends on the amount of iron contained in the stone, and the most valued grade of Amethyst is called ‘Deep Siberian’ a very deep shade of purple. Interestingly, Amethyst is not only the birth stone for the month of February but the astrological stone for Pisces and Aquarius zodiac signs. Amethyst is also the anniversary gemstone for the 6th and 17th

year of marriage, so would make the perfect present for these occasions! It’s also worth noting that the Amethyst stone is beneficial to headache suffers, creating inner peace and psychic insight. Tiger Eye, also known as Chatoyant Quartz is cherished for its natural color and beauty and is known most commonly for its protective and good luck powers which is why Tresor Paris are including this botanical stone into the Les Petits range. It is strongly believed that this Chatoyant gemstone protects against all forms of danger and that the Tigers Eye will bring good luck and protection from the evil eye to the wearer. These qualities make it a stone of desire, beyond its beautiful appearance. An interesting fact about Tiger Eye, other

than it being the astrological sign of Sagittarius, is The Bourgogne that it’s said Tiger Eye promotes to protect positive energy people against bullying and negative energy. This is due to the stone being attuned to earth energies. The shimmering, silky luster of yellow and gold highlights that the Tiger Eye stone embodies is believed to be connected to the sun and therefore promotes a positive outlook for those who wear it. Now we have even more reason to wear our Tresor Paris bracelets with pride! Tiger Eye not only appeals to an adults taste, but is also the perfect stone for a child to wear considering its protective qualities. Here at Tresor Paris we ensure every single stone is hand polished to the highest possible standard, making it ideal for a child to wear against soft, delicate skin without the risk of being a danger in any way. Look out for these two magnificent semiprecious stones included in Tresor Paris’ collections, they have power beyond their beauty and cannot be missed.

Le Bon London Fashion Week Yasmin raises money for Charity Street Style We take a look at the outfits off the catwalk at this season London Fashion Week!

When Somerset House opened its doors it filled its courtyard with platform shoes, capes and maxi dresses. Finally the date in every London Fashion Lovers diary had arrived - London Fashion Week AW12 was about to begin! Before Tresor Paris News enjoyed the Tresor Paris at the Corrie Neilsen show we couldn’t help but delight in the LFW crowd. Fashion on the Go: We had some eccentric dress sense on show at LFW but we love the simplicity and laid back attitude of this layered look. A flash of warm orange with pattern trim adds interest to the muted winter layers. The brown coat is tailored to perfection. Venus in Furs: Ok so this lovely lady isn’t a LFW guest but a model on the run! Her stature, sky high heels and motion all work together to show this piece at its best. We love the soft lilac colour as well as soft look of this dress which is created by the length of the fur. Back in Black: That’s the thing about black, it’s classic. It’s simple and effective and very very stylish. Keeping to this one, non-colour colour, gives you the opportunity to play with texture and shape. We love the sculptural panels and fur of this statement making top. The velvet platforms elongate the body and pick up where the vertical pleats left off. Dressed From Top to Toe: More on trend pastel colours for S/S12 and this perfect pair reminds us of Care Bears and candy! Fashion is a very serious business but we love the humour and inventiveness it encourages. Expression through fashion makes the world a more interesting place and this LFW showed that off!

Children With AIDS Charity (CWAC) celebrated its 20th anniversary with a glamorous red carpet event at the luxurious St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel. At the sold out event the theme this year was ‘come as your favourite star’, or for those not so adventurous, there was the traditional black tie. The guests were treated to a 5 star menu with an array including; smoked salmon with Ras, maple roast free range duck breast and leg, a selection of desserts, champagne and fine wines to grace any black tie event. Whilst indulging, hosts Gyles Brandreth and Kate Copstick entertained the guests. The focus of the night then turned to the floor auction, where Tresor Paris and super model Yasmin Le Bon collaborated to design a bespoke ruby and gold bracelet for this special event. The bracelet consisted of five pavé set red rubies, with alternating agate in between, painstakingly finished with five spheres graduating in size made from sterling silver with rose gold plating and exquisitely set with scattered natural rubies. At the end of the night, the ‘Le Charite’ bracelet raised £2200 for the charity.

jewellery, scarves, handbags or footwear. We’ve stocked Tresor Paris since September last year and it’s become one of the biggest brands we sell! TP: How did you get your distinctive and catchy name? The name Fever Accessories definitely gives a sense of excitement to the store and shopping experience! TP: Can you describe Fever Accessories in three words? FA: Friendly. Chic. Exciting!

TP: You and Emma have worked very hard to create a contemporary and stylish boutique, how does your roles as buyers influence this?
