The Future

TRG is a professional motorsports business, adept at successfully managing teams of unprecedented competitive scope and executing visionary marketing programs. From humble roots as a Porsche club-racing business, TRG first tackled the world of international sports car racing in 1995 when Kevin Buckler, driving The Racer’s Group Porsche 911, won his first ever professional race. From 1995 through 2002, Kevin and his team competed in a wide variety of racing forums while continuing to focus on the development and growth of its versatile racing businesses. With the team’s first major sponsor, Kevin and The Racer’s Group proved their value by winning their class at the legendary 24 Hours at Daytona in 2002. That win secured an entry to the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans and the team was about to make history. With a small budget and a strong work ethic, the team eclipsed the worldwide competition, winning the race their first time out. In the renowned

02

history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, only two teams, TRG and McLaren, have won the race in their first attempt. TRG went on to win twice more in the American Le Mans Series, scoring 13 podiums. Kevin won the prestigious Porsche World Cup; the highest award presented by the factory to the world’s best Porsche racing driver each season. With class wins at both the 24 Hours at Daytona and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, TRG was on a roll and was being noticed by the racing community. In 2003, TRG returned to the 24 Hours at Daytona as a major player in international racing, taking the overall victory, beating every GT-class competitor, as well as the entire Daytona Prototype field. It had been 30 years since a car from the GT class had won overall, and it marked only the second time in history the feat had been accomplished. Most recently TRG took their third victory at the famed Rolex 24 in 2009, finishing a historic 1-2 in the GT category.

Ater decades of performing at the

highest levels in the world’s most

competitive sports car leagues,

TRG was ready to take on the biggest challenge they have ever faced. As a small, one car operation against teams with decades of experience and resources, TRG Motorsports became NASCAR’s Cinderella story, scoring their first top-15 in the team’s third race. TRG Motorsports’ inspirational story was covered by major media outlets including Fox Sports News, ESPN, The Wall Street Journal, and USA Today. The team inevitably landed its first NASCAR sponsorship, earned a guaranteed qualifying position at the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at the Martinsville Speedway by earning a top 35 in owners points, and was featured on the highly acclaimed talk show, Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain on SPEED. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is absolutely staggering in every regard. With 75 million fans, NASCAR races often draw larger crowds than a Super Bowl, NBA Finals game, and World Series game combined and has the participation of more Fortune 500 companies than any other sport. 17 of the 20 largest sporting events in the U.S. are NASCAR races. NASCAR fans are the most loyal on the planet and are three times more likely to buy a product from a sponsor than a non-sponsor. NASCAR is more than just a sport – NASCAR racing provides one of 04

the highest levels of competition in any sport; it combines the power, excitement and exhilaration of racing with the strategy and teamwork of world-class competitors who are accessible to their fans. This unique combination of attributes inspires our fan base to experience and appreciate all the passion and performance that the NASCAR family has to offer.

“TRG has a long history of success on the track as well as in the boardroom. They know how to connect the dots between the raw excitement of racing and delivering value for their partners” — Mark Kent, General Motors Racing Director

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is

unlike any other motorsports series in the

world. With production-based pickup truck

racing machines competing at speeds exceeding 180 mph, fans and sponsors are never disappointed. Typically racing Friday night before Sunday’s Sprint Cup race, NASCAR’S biggest stars frequently compete in the Truck events, massively increasing the series’ star power, competitiveness, and popularity. In 2008, TRG Motorsports campaigned the entire NASCAR Camping World Truck Series amassing ten top-10 finishes and an unprecedented first season victory at Mansfield Motorsports Park, an accomplishment that would earn TRG Motorsports the 2008 SPEED Performance Award for the “Biggest Upset Rookie Beating the Vets”. 06

“Activation” of corporate sponsorship is a critical component of any successful campaign and is achieved through a variety of methods. TRG can assist your company in creating in-store track event promotions, utilize your racing involvement to increase awareness of your brand and drive sales, as well as establish sales incentives or rewards for your customers and employees. Using viral videos and memorable online marketing campaigns targeting a variety of demographic segments, TRG’s marketing department can effectively promote your brand to crucial online audiences. One of the most effective incentives is the “ticket you can’t buy,” a backstage pass and an inside look into the true functioning operations of a professional racing team. “VIP Pit Crew Member For a Day” programs can also be used as a reward for top vendors, corporate partners, or as an employee incentive program. Our VIP Pit Crew Members receive full access to pit road with the team on race day along with scanners and headsets during the race! 22

TOP EMERGING CALIFORNIA RHONE PRODUCERS

Adobe Road Winery is a small, boutique winery based in Sonoma County, California, and owned by Kevin and Debra Buckler. Since its commercial launch in 1998, Adobe Road has played an integral role in the marketing and promotion of TRG’s racing teams, relationship building and hospitality events. Similar to a world-class racing team, operating an award-winning winery requires preparation, passion and a dedicated, knowledgeable staff. Using the same operating principles that have helped TRG ascend to the pinnacle of international motorsports, Adobe Road focuses its staff and resources on exceptional quality through proper connections, hard work and building the right team. At most races, Adobe Road hosts tastings, wine-maker dinners and tours in conjunction with race events. From years of relationship building, TRG and Adobe Road have special access at the finest restaurants and event venues on the North American racing circuit – from quiet bistros in Elkhart Lake, and brash steakhouses in Dallas, to “clubby” seafood restaurants in South Beach and luxurious seaside inns in Carmel. TRG’s partners receive the benefit of these relationships, gaining access to some of the most unique venues in the country while creating excellent memories for their guests. Adobe Road plays an important role in the marketing, promotion and execution of TRG’s sponsor activities. As befits a sport with an upscale, executive demographic, adding boutique wine 28

tastings and an air of luxury enhances the effectiveness of TRG’s hospitality and corporate events. Just as racing seems to draw out many car enthusiasts, having a winery participate at race events seems to draw out food and wine enthusiasts – strengthening the bond created between TRG’s partners and their guests.
