Instructor Profile Ava Stone Eighteen years already? The magic moment came when Lisa Porcellato hired me as a yoga instructor with the City of Port Moody. I started with one class and six people. That changed to seven classes with full attendance. Now at four classes and a cozy 30-40 attendees. Many of the originals are still with me. I do encourage them to organize their limbs in various ways, breathe and enjoy the moment, but our real purpose leans to a shift of awareness that will guide us to a deeper meaningful yoga. Life should include good health, more fun and knowing peacefulness. Having a yearly party at my house while the garden is in full bloom ‘pot luck’ for 45-50 yoga friends’ adds to a special relationship with me and each other. All staff have been very kind and supportive to us and I thank you as I am planning to teach here at least till I’m 80 ‘by general request’. So please keep the room warm for us as there is nowhere else we’d rather be doing our yoga.
