Flat-Top Grill Neighborhood-Friendly, Breakfast, & Juicy Burgers “Making people happy one burger at a time.” Emma Keys Flat-Top Grill, named for a famous cook in Mississippi, offers juicy, delicious burgers and much more for all ages. Located in a restored 1950’s barber shop at the corner of Elam and Walker Avenue in Greensboro. Emma Keys offers burgers, sandwiches, shakes, fries, hot dogs, all natural shaved ice, hand-dipped ice cream, beer, and beverages. Original owners Emmett and Lee Morphis opened Emma Keys in December 2010 then Gene Bordinger purchased the establishment in February of 2016. He takes pride in serving the community through charitable functions with the Greensboro Police Officers Association, Book Bags for Kids and Halloween Baskets are events supported by Emma Keys. We love to “see people smile when they eat.” Friendly service, great food, and terrific value are all offered at Emma Keys. Breakfast is served daily from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. Customers can choose from Belgian Waffles, omelets and breakfast sandwiches. Vegetables can be included in any omelet or sandwich. Coffee is included with any breakfast In June 2016, Emma Keys was the Grand Prize winner of the 1st Annual Greensboro Farmer’s Curb Market Burger Challenge for their Lone Star Slider. The Lone Star is a 6 oz. delight packed with cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce, mayonnaise and crispy fried onions. Emma Keys prepared 400 sliders for the event.
