Of the many attractions in the Triad area, one thing that stands out is the growing artistic and home décor scene. If you’re looking for something unique for your home, something you simply won’t find in a typical retail outlet, you may be surprised how many options there are near you. What separates a growing art community from a truly successful one is how accessible it is, and a lot of that comes down to having places to showcase local talent. One such venue has been around over a hundred years. The Art Shop is Greensboro’s oldest picture framing gallery, and has remained a family business throughout its tenure. Current owner Andy McAfee says that acquiring each new piece is exciting because they each have a story. Helping customers find the piece that suits their story is very rewarding, which likely explains why McAfee does many of the home installations himself. Popular choices like The Big Meaty, Guido McFlathery, Dan-O’s double bacon cheeseburger (2 people can share), and the list goes on. They also have an extensive list of appetizers like the Sam Adams Sausage Cheese Dip, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, and Fried Pickels, plus the kitchen stays open till 2am every night! Stumble Stilskins offers an extensive “gourmet” burger menu. Selections like the Green Monster, Pimento Bacon Cheese, Spicy Bison Burger and even a Pretzel Burger. The Pretzel Burger is Stumble’s unique blend of beef, sausage, and bratwurst with grilled onions, kraut, yellow mustard and garlic all served on a Pretzel bun. In addition, Stumble Stilskins also allows you to “build your own burger”, so you can have it your way and then some. All the burgers are made fresh to order and the custom toppings can also be cooked directly in the meat. Long before every bar jumped on the craft beer bandwagon, Stumbles was already steering the ship.
