Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809, in a wooden house in Hardin County, Kentucky. His father’s name was Thomas Lincoln and mother’s name was Nancy Lincoln. His descendants came from England who later settled in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Abraham Lincoln’s grandfather of Lincoln was named Captain Abraham Lincoln who had settled in Virginia in 1780 in Kentucky. An Indian hunter gang in 1786 murdered captain Lincoln. Now Thomas, son of Captain Lincoln, had seen his father’s attack with his eyes. Now orphaned Thomas created his path and started working his life in different places.

Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809-15, April 1865) was the 16th President of the United States. His tenure was from 1861 to 1865. These were from the Republican Party. They crossed the US with its biggest crisis – civil war. Lincoln is credited with the end of slavery in America. Abraham Lincoln was born into a poor black family. He was the first Republican to become President of the United States. Before that, he was an attorney, legislator of the Illinois State, the House of Representatives of America.

The problems of slavery were going on in the country, white people were the owners of large farms in the southern states, and they used to call black people from Africa to work in their fields, and they were kept as slaves. The people of the states were against this practice of slavery and wanted to end it, the Constitution of the United States is based on man’s similarity. Therefore there is no place for slavery in the country, in this challenging time; Abraham Lincoln was elected President of the United States in 1860. He wanted to solve the problem of slavery. The people of the southern states were against the abolition of slavery. This can threaten the unity of the country. The southern state was preparing to make a new country, but Abraham Lincoln wanted all the states to be united.

Abraham Lincoln suffered many problems. He wanted to protect the unity of the country at any cost. Finally, a civil war broke out between the Northern and Southern states. He fought the war with bravery and declared, “A nation cannot be a half-slave and a half without slaves “A Nation cannot exist half free and half slave.” He won the war, and the country was united.
